๐ฝ Fresh Produce Pickup Comes to West Bountiful
A West Bountiful resident has opened a local pickup location for shares from Taggeโs Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Members pay upfront for seasonal produce and receive regular boxes of locally grown fruits and vegetables, with optional add-ons like sweet corn, honey, bread, flowers, and more. The new pickup option makes it easier for local residents to participate in a farm-to-table program close to home. More local pickup options help South Davis residents support Utah farmers while getting fresh, seasonal produce delivered closer to home.

๐ Davis County Commissioner Warns Great Salt Lake Is in Crisis
During a recent Davis County Commission meeting, Commissioner Lorene Kamalu Poma (Pomaloy in the AI summary) reminded residents that mail-in ballots for the June 23 election must be received by Election Day and encouraged voters to use official drop boxes or hand-deliver ballots to ensure they're counted.
The commissioner also raised concerns about ongoing drought conditions and the future of the Great Salt Lake, describing the lake as being "in crisis." She noted that regional water conservation efforts are expanding, including pilot projects and a reported request for a 20% reduction in water use from the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District. County leaders say protecting the lake remains a critical issue for Northern Utah communities.
๐ Residents are encouraged to conserve water where possible and make sure election ballots are submitted before the June 23 deadline.

๐ฅ Brush Fire Reported Along I-15 in Farmington
Fire crews responded Sunday afternoon to a brush fire near Exit 322 (Lagoon Drive) along I-15 in Farmington. Officials reported the fire around 2:30 PM, and emergency responders were working the scene as details remained limited.

๐จ Suspect Arrested After Capitol Hill Brush Fire
The Quick Summary: Salt Lake City police arrested a 43-year-old man after a human-caused brush fire ignited near Memory Grove Park by the Utah State Capitol on Friday morning. Investigators say witnesses identified the suspect leaving the area where the fire started, and officials reported damage to multiple trees in the park.
Why It Matters: The incident is a reminder of the elevated wildfire risk across Utah and the importance of following fire safety guidelines during the dry summer season.๐ Read More
