🔥 Farmington Enacts Stage 2 Fire Restrictions

Farmington has placed all areas east of I-15 under Stage 2 fire restrictions due to extreme wildfire danger. Open flames, campfires, fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet smokers, and wood-burning fires are prohibited on both public and private property. Propane and natural gas grills are still allowed when used safely away from dry vegetation.

If you live, hike, or recreate east of I-15 in Farmington, you'll need to skip open flames and follow the new restrictions to help prevent wildfires. 👉 Read More

🐾 Help Keep Shelter Pets Cozy

Animal Care of Davis County is running low on blankets and towels and is asking the community for a helping hand.

The shelter is currently accepting new or gently used plush blankets (twin size or smaller), baby or pet blankets, pillowcases, flat sheets, bath towels, hand towels, and bath mats to help keep dogs and cats comfortable while they wait for their forever homes.

Donations can be dropped off at 1422 E. 600 N. in Fruit Heights during regular business hours.

❤️ Have a few extra towels or blankets tucked away in a closet? They could make a big difference for a shelter pet in need.

🦈 Have You Met Bountiful's Famous Shark?

Believe it or not, Bountiful has a life-size shark.

Perched along Temple View Drive, this unexpected neighborhood landmark has quietly become a favorite stop for locals in the know. And with Shark Week officially running July 6–13, it seems the timing couldn't be more perfect.

This week, the shark is drawing even more visitors than usual. We've heard there may be a few fun surprises throughout the week, and yes... people have even been showing up in full shark costumes to celebrate Bountiful's most famous finned resident! 🦈

If you've never seen it, now might be the perfect excuse to take a drive through the neighborhood and see what all the fuss is about. Snap a photo, bring the kids, and enjoy one of those delightfully random things that make our community so much fun.

Meet Sadie—the definition of a happy girl!

Sadie is always ready for her next adventure, especially if it involves going fishing with her family. When she's not enjoying the great outdoors, you'll find her playing with her favorite ball or proudly carrying around her beloved squeaky chicken—because, according to Sadie, life is simply better with a toy in your mouth!

One thing Sadie knows for sure? Everyone she meets is there to pet her. And honestly... who could say no to that face?

When it comes to snacks, she's a fan of watermelon, tomatoes, and just about anything else you might be eating.
