Legacy Park Lights Up: North Salt Lakeโs Monday Night Food Trucks & Vendor Fair Returns
The City of North Salt Lake is thrilled to announce the return of the eagerly anticipated Monday Night Food Trucks & Vendor Fair at Legacy Park, promising more excitement and community spirit than ever before. Starting April 15, the event will showcase an array of food trucks, with the Vendor Fair kicking off on June 3.
Each Monday night 5:00pm to Dusk, residents have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of cuisines from local food trucks, while the Vendor Fair, beginning in June, will feature an assortment of local artisans and businesses. The event aims to provide a platform for local vendors to connect with the community and display their goods and services.
This year, the event will include several special dates, notably on June 3, 10, and September 23, as part of the "Unity in the Community" initiative. These special events will feature additional activities and entertainment designed to foster community togetherness and enjoyment.
Vendors interested in participating in the Monday Night Food Trucks & Vendor Fair can apply online through the city's official website. The City of North Salt Lake encourages local businesses and food enthusiasts to join in and contribute to the growing success of these community gatherings.
Preserving the Great Salt Lake: A Call to Action for Sustainable Ski Tourism in Utah
The ecological and economic stakes are high for Utah's Great Salt Lake, whose unique attributes significantly boost local ski tourism by contributing to the state's renowned dry, powdery snow. Often overlooked, Davis County benefits directly from this natural phenomenon, known as lake effect snow, which adds an estimated 10% to the stateโs annual snowfall. This process involves water vapor rising from the warmer lake into colder air, where it crystallizes and falls as snow. Despite recent increases in water levels, the lake requires further substantial inflow to reach a sustainable ecological, economic, and recreational state. The community and legislators are now called upon to conserve water and advocate for the lakeโs preservation, ensuring the continued prosperity of the local ski industry.

โพ๏ธ High School Baseball Heats Up: Viewmont and Woods Cross Lead the Pack
Viewmont and Woods Cross high schools have both started their Region 5 baseball season strongly, with unbeaten records. Viewmont has powered through with strong hitting, while Woods Cross overcame a weak non-league start with strong showings in recent games. Bountiful has had a more challenging season with fluctuating results. Davis has been competitive in close games, and Farmington is still aiming for its first win in regional play.
