A Charming Children’s Boutique
Full of Magic, Meaning & One-of-a-Kind Finds

Tucked right along Main Street in Bountiful, Over the Moon is exactly what its name suggests—a delightful little shop filled with thoughtful gifts, beautiful children’s clothing, and treasures you simply won’t find anywhere else.

Owned by Tamara England, Over the Moon opened its doors in 2013 as a sister store to her original boutique, Touché. What started as a vision to fill a need for a children’s shop in the area has grown into a beloved local destination for baby gifts, sustainable toys, cozy blankets, and stylish clothing for little ones.

✨ A Shopping Experience You Won’t Find in Big Box Stores
From unique European brands to specialty items that feel extra special, Over the Moon is known for its carefully curated selection. Shoppers especially love their popular Maileg mice collection from Denmark and the ever-coveted Jellycat plush—with weekly restocks that bring excitement and loyal customers back again and again.

And it’s not just what you find… it’s how you feel when you’re there. With exceptional customer service and free gift wrapping, every visit feels personal, easy, and memorable—perfect for finding that just-right gift.

🎉 More Than a Store—A Part of the Community
Over the Moon is deeply woven into the heart of the Bountiful community. From supporting local fundraisers to donating to IHC NICU centers and Utah refugee efforts, Tamara and her team are passionate about giving back.

They also host a much-loved Maileg Mouse Party twice a year—a free, family-friendly event that brings a little extra magic to Main Street. (Keep an eye out for the next one coming this June!)

🛍️ A Seamless Boutique Experience
One of the most unique features? During the COVID shutdown, an entryway was added to connect Over the Moon with Touché—creating a seamless shopping experience between the two stores. It’s like getting two beautiful boutiques in one stop.

Whether you’re shopping for a baby gift, something special for your kids, or simply want to wander through a store that feels straight out of a storybook, Over the Moon is a must-visit.

🌳 Farmington Tree Program Ends Soon

Farmington Parks & Recreation is offering discounted trees through its Tree Lined Street Program, helping residents beautify their neighborhoods while boosting air quality and shade. A variety of tree species are available, but orders must be placed soon. The deadline to participate is April 3rd. 👉 More details

Why It Matters: This is an easy, affordable way for residents to improve curb appeal, increase property value, and make streets cooler and more inviting.

🐾 $165M Animal Shelter Hits Pause

A Davis County commissioner is pushing to pause plans for a new $165 million animal shelter, citing rising costs and concerns about building safety in a seismic zone. The proposal had been moving forward, but this request could delay or reshape the project. Officials say more review is needed before committing taxpayer dollars.

Why It Matters:
This could impact your taxes—and how quickly the county upgrades overcrowded animal shelter services.

🌱 Singles Farm Event Brings Community Together

A locally promoted “Singles Mingle” event is happening this Saturday, featuring a citrus orchard experience, gardening class, and interactive farm activities. Hosted by a familiar Bountiful Farmers Market vendor, the event includes everything from karaoke to hands-on planting tips. Discounted tickets are currently available, with the event running Saturday at 10 AM in Syracuse and Ogden.

Why It Matters: It’s a fun, low-cost way for local singles to connect, learn practical skills, and support small, community-driven events nearby. 👉 See post

🏐 Woods Cross Falls to Alta in Region Match

Woods Cross boys volleyball faced a tough matchup on March 26, falling to Alta in straight sets (25-14, 25-14, 25-18). Alta controlled the pace from the start, showcasing strong offense and defense throughout the game. The Wildcats struggled to find momentum, finishing with 46 total points across all three sets.

Why It Matters: Region matchups like this shape playoff positioning, and Woods Cross will look to bounce back as the season continues.
