Traffic Signal Outage Disrupts Parrish Lane Intersection
A malfunctioning traffic light at the intersection of 400 West and Parrish Lane caused significant delays in Centerville yesterday. The signal remained out through the evening, forcing the busy intersection to operate as a four-way stop.
UDOT crews responded to the scene and began troubleshooting the issue, with repairs expected to continue into today. Centerville Police urged drivers to proceed with caution and follow four-way stop rules to prevent accidents.
As one of the city’s main junctions, the intersection saw heavy congestion during peak hours. No major incidents were reported, but motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the signal is restored.

Farmington Creek Trail Closed for Water Line Installation
Farmington residents will need to find alternate routes for outdoor recreation as the Farmington Creek Trail has been closed due to ongoing construction. City officials have announced that the trail will remain off-limits until further notice while crews install a new water line along the path.
The closure is part of an infrastructure improvement project aimed at enhancing the city’s water system and supporting future growth. While no specific timeline for reopening has been provided, officials assure the public that updates will be shared as progress continues.
In the meantime, residents are asked to respect closure signs and avoid the area for safety reasons. The city has expressed appreciation for the community’s patience as improvements are made to benefit Farmington’s future.
