Bountiful Residents Face New Watering Rules to Conserve Supply

Amid ongoing drought concerns and dropping well levels, Bountiful City has issued new outdoor water use restrictions for properties without access to secondary water. These regulations focus specifically on limiting the use of culinary (drinking) water for landscaping and other outdoor purposes.

The city is urging residents in the affected areas to help conserve this essential resource by adhering to the guidelines. Details on the specific restrictions and best practices for water conservation can be found on the city’s official website.

Parsons Bakery Keeps Bountiful Sweet with Tradition and Homemade Flair

Parsons Bakery in Bountiful continues to thrive by combining family tradition with handcrafted baked goods. Run by multiple generations of the Parsons family, the bakery is known for its made-from-scratch items, from pastries to sandwiches and custom cakes.

Driver Dies in High-Speed Crash at Bonneville Salt Flats During Speed Week

A driver was killed in a crash at the Bonneville Salt Flats on Sunday while attempting a land-speed record during the opening day of Speed Week. The vehicle lost control during a high-speed run and crashed, leading to the driver’s death at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the driver’s identity. Racing was paused for several hours as officials investigated and ensured the track was safe before resuming activities.

Speed Week is a popular annual event where racers from around the world test high-speed vehicles on the salt flats. Despite strict safety protocols, the extreme speeds involved carry significant risk.
