🛜 Internet Safety Classes for Local Parents
The Davis County Sheriff's Office has released its remaining 2026 schedule for Internet Safety courses, shared by the Davis County Library. These classes focus on helping parents understand apps, smartphones, and online risks facing kids today. It’s expert-led advice designed to help families stay ahead of digital dangers.
Centerville Branch - 45 S 400 E Centerville | May 20th | 6-7:30 pm
Farmington Branch - 135 S. Main street, Farmington | July 15th | 6-7:30 pm
Why It Matters:
With most local kids using smartphones and social media, this course gives South Davis parents practical tools to keep their children safe online.
💛 Supporting Teens After Mueller Park Discovery
As many may know, the Davis County Sheriff's Office has confirmed no foul play suspected after a woman’s body was found in Mueller Park Canyon, located outside Bountiful city limits. Officials say the family has been notified and has asked that her name not be released publicly. Community discussion has also highlighted concern for the teens who discovered the body, some of whom have since received crisis counseling.
Why It Matters:
This update brings clarity to the investigation while reminding our community to support local youth who were directly impacted by a traumatic situation.
🏛️ Sen. Weiler to Speak at Bountiful Council
Todd Weiler will give a legislative update during the Bountiful City Council work session on Tuesday, Feb. 24, starting at 6 PM. The work session takes place before the regular council meeting and typically includes briefings and discussion items. Residents can attend to hear how current state legislation may impact Bountiful and surrounding South Davis communities.
Why It Matters:
State-level decisions can directly affect local taxes, schools, and city policies — this is a chance to hear updates firsthand.
🏀 Farmington Shocks Davis in 6A Playoffs
In a thrilling second-round 6A state playoff game, the **Farmington High School Phoenix knocked off the Davis High School Darts 53-50 on Friday night in Kaysville. Farmington junior Malakai Tobler hit a buzzer-beater to clinch the upset over the defending state champs, sending the Phoenix into the quarterfinals in Salt Lake City. Davis ends its season with a strong record but a heartbreaking exit.

Local fans saw one of the biggest high school playoff upsets of the season, and Farmington’s unforgettable finish keeps community playoff hopes alive.
