Waldo Invades Bountiful: Main Street Scavenger Hunt Kicks Off for July
Bountiful Main Street is inviting families, shoppers, and adventure seekers to take part in a community-wide โWhereโs Waldoโ scavenger hunt this July. The interactive event encourages participants to explore local businesses in a playful search for the iconic striped character.
To join in, visitors can pick up a special passport at The Book Garden, a local bookstore that serves as the eventโs starting point. From there, participants are challenged to find Waldo hidden inside various shops along Main Street. Each discovery earns a stamp in the passport.
Once all stamps are collected, completed passports can be submitted for a chance to win a prize. The hunt is open for the entire month, offering a fun way to support small businesses while enjoying a nostalgic game loved by generations.
This festive activity not only brings a boost to Bountifulโs downtown economy but also fosters community spirit during the peak of summer.

City Reminds Residents to Safely Dispose of Fireworks and Hot Materials
As summer celebrations ramp up, City Officials are urging residents to practice caution when disposing of fireworks, coals, and other hot debris. Improper disposal of these materials into garbage cans can lead to melted containers or, worse, fires that pose serious safety risks.
To prevent these hazards, residents are advised to allow all hot items to cool down fully and soak them with water before placing them in the trash. The city also reminds residents that if a garbage can is damaged due to hot materials, the homeowner will be responsible for the replacement cost.
This seasonal reminder aims to keep neighborhoods safe and prevent avoidable accidents during a time of heightened fire risk. Nearby communities are echoing the message and reminding residents that fireworks are strictly prohibited in certain high-risk areasโspecifically east of Orchard Drive and south of Eagleridge Drive.
With a little extra care, families can enjoy fireworks and summer festivities without putting homes or the environment at risk.

After Last Yearโs Fireworks Injuries, Stadium of Fire Promises Safer Show
One year after a malfunctioning firework injured 27 people at Provoโs Stadium of Fire, organizers have hired a new fireworks company and banned the faulty product. The Provo Fire Department is also enforcing stricter inspection protocols to prevent similar incidents. Officials aim to reassure the public that enhanced safety measures are in place for this year's Fourth of July event.
