No More Free Hangouts: Starbucks Reverses 2018 Open-Door Policy
Starbucks has introduced a new policy requiring customers to make a purchase to stay in its stores or use the restroom, reversing its 2018 open-door policy. The revised code of conduct, which bans disruptive behaviors like drug use, vaping, and panhandling, aims to create a safer environment for patrons and employees. The shift follows years of safety concerns and declining sales and is part of CEO Brian Niccolβs strategy to revitalize the brand while restoring the community coffeehouse atmosphere. Employees will receive training on enforcing the rules, and violators may be asked to leave or face law enforcement intervention if necessary.

Keep Your Home and Vehicles Safe with These Tips from the Kaysville Police Department! π‘π
Hi, neighbors! We wanted to share these helpful burglary prevention tips from the Kaysville Police Department, recently posted on their Facebook page. A little preparation can go a long way in protecting your home, vehicles, and loved ones!
1. Lock It Up
Always double-check that all doors, windows, and garage doors are lockedβeven if you're only stepping out for a short time.
2. Hide Your Valuables
Keep purses, wallets, cash, firearms, or other valuables out of sight. Never leave them in your vehicle, even if itβs locked.
3. Light It Up
Good lighting can deter potential burglars! Make sure your exterior lights are on, especially near entrances or dark corners around your home.
4. Trim the Shrubs
Keep bushes and shrubs trimmed low to reduce hiding spots near windows and doors.
5. Think Security
Consider adding security measures like an alarm system, motion-sensor lights, or cameras to give you extra peace of mind.
6. Speak Up
If you see something suspicious, trust your instincts and call 911. Your report could help prevent a crime.
By working together and staying proactive, we can keep our community safe and welcoming for everyone! π
Stay safe out there, friends!

Hiker Finds Decomposed Remains Near Popular Utah Trail
Authorities have confirmed the discovery of human remains near the Elephant Arch hiking area in Washington City. A hiker came across the remains on Sunday, prompting an investigation by local law enforcement.
Police and sheriffβs deputies processed the scene and determined that the remains, which showed varying stages of decomposition, had been at the location for a significant period. Officials identified the remains as belonging to a man, but no signs of foul play have been found during the investigation.
The individualβs family has requested privacy, and police have respected their wishes by withholding the manβs identity.
