🌺Ohana — A Place of Care, Connection, and Community 🌺

In the heart of Woods Cross, there’s a special place where care, compassion, and community come together — Ohana, a day center dedicated to supporting adults with special needs. For the past 10 years, Ohana has been more than just a center; it’s been a home away from home where every individual is valued, celebrated, and encouraged to thrive.

Located at 1492 S 800 W, Suite E, Ohana offers a safe, engaging environment designed to help adults with special needs build skills, friendships, and confidence through daily activities and personalized support. The name “Ohana,” meaning family, perfectly reflects the heart behind everything they do — creating a true sense of belonging for each participant and their loved ones.

Support staff member Bill Campbell shared how proud the team is to see their participants grow and connect each day. Whether it’s through art, life skills training, community outings, or just laughter shared around the table, Ohana’s staff ensures that everyone feels included and supported.

If you’d like to learn more or get involved, reach out to Ohana at (801) 683-8986 or by email at [email protected]. Because at Ohana, every day is a reminder that family isn’t just who you live with — it’s who you care for.

South Davis Firefighter Josh Brimhall Remembered After Off-Duty Passing

The South Davis Metro Fire Service Area is mourning the untimely off-duty passing of firefighter Josh Brimhall, a dedicated and well-respected member of the department. Known for his commitment to service and strong community ties, Brimhall's death has left a significant void among both colleagues and the broader community.

Brimhall’s contributions went beyond the line of duty—his compassion, professionalism, and willingness to help others defined his role in the department. As the community grapples with this loss, the fire service is emphasizing the importance of support and solidarity.

Authorities are urging anyone affected by this tragedy or facing emotional challenges to seek help. Resources include the Utah Firefighter Crisis Support Hotline at 801-587-1800, the SafeUT Frontline app, and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available by call or text.

As the department honors Brimhall’s memory, they encourage the public to continue his legacy by offering support to those in need and reinforcing the message that no one in the fire service walks alone.
