Utah Highway Patrol Investigating Road Rage Gunfire

Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a road rage altercation that escalated into gunfire on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred on Interstate 15 in Utah County, prompting an investigation by the Utah Highway Patrol.

According to officials, the confrontation began when two drivers engaged in a dispute while traveling on the freeway. The situation quickly escalated, with one driver pulling out a firearm and firing a shot before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported, but the gunfire led to temporary road closures as investigators gathered evidence.

Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and any information that may aid the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact authorities.

The Utah Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to stay calm in tense situations and avoid engaging in aggressive behavior on the road.

Halloween Favorite ‘Thriller’ Comes to Davis County for the First Time

For the first time, the popular Halloween-themed production Thriller will be performed in Davis County, bringing its signature blend of dance, comedy, and spooky storytelling to a new audience. The show, known for its energetic choreography and eerie yet entertaining atmosphere, has been a long-standing tradition in Utah, typically performed in Salt Lake City and other locations.

This year, the production will be staged at the Kenley Amphitheater in Layton, expanding its reach beyond its usual venues. The move is expected to draw both longtime fans and newcomers eager to experience the performance closer to home. Organizers expressed excitement about bringing the show to a fresh audience, emphasizing the production's mix of humor and hauntingly impressive dance routines.

The show has been a seasonal favorite for more than two decades, featuring a variety of Halloween-themed characters and dance numbers that blend the spooky with the spectacular. The expansion to Davis County aligns with efforts to make live performances more accessible to audiences across the state.

Tickets for the Layton performances are already on sale, and organizers anticipate a strong turnout for the debut run in Davis County.

Hatchet-Wielding Suspect Arrested in Bountiful After Multiple Assaults

A Bountiful man, 35-year-old Robert Jesse Bloomer, was arrested after allegedly shoving a pregnant woman, choking another victim, and biting a third during a confrontation. He also reportedly brandished a hatchet in a threatening manner. Police took him into custody, and he remains in jail without bail, awaiting a pretrial hearing.
