🔥 Rocky Canyon Fire Lights Up the Bountiful Sky

The Rocky Canyon Fire burning in Morgan County created an eerie red glow over the mountains Sunday night, drawing plenty of attention from residents in Bountiful who could see the fire lighting up the eastern sky. Photos shared locally showed the glow clearly visible from neighborhoods across town.

According to KSL, evacuations have been ordered for areas near the fire in Morgan County as crews continue responding. While the fire itself is outside South Davis County, the view from Bountiful made this one feel especially close to home.

There’s no indication that Bountiful is going to be effected, but residents may continue to see the glow or smoke from the fire as crews work to contain it.

🛍️ Vintage Cove Brings Treasure Hunting to Bountiful

Vintage Cove is now open at 85 N. 200 West in Bountiful, bringing 16 local vendors together under one roof with antique furniture, handmade goods, modern accessories, and plenty of vintage finds. Owner Leslie Archer says the shop was designed to feel more like a shopping village than a crowded antique store.

🚨 Scam Alert: Fake MyChart Emails Targeting Residents

A local resident is warning neighbors about a convincing phishing email designed to look like an official message from MyChart.

The email claims a “2026 Medicare Kit” is ready to be shipped and urges the recipient to confirm their address within 48 hours. Although it includes the MyChart logo and professional-looking graphics, the sender’s address is unrelated to MyChart—a clear warning sign.

MyChart has also reported an increase in scammers using its name and logo to make fraudulent emails, texts and websites appear legitimate.

If you receive a message like this:

• Do not click any links or provide personal information.

• Check the sender’s complete email address.

• Log in through your healthcare provider’s official app or website if you’re unsure.

• Mark the message as phishing or spam, then delete it.

• If you already entered information, change your password immediately and contact your healthcare provider.

Remember: A familiar logo doesn’t mean an email is legitimate. When in doubt, go directly to the company’s official website—never through a link in an unexpected message.

In celebration of National Shooting Sports Month, the Davis Shooting Range is hosting a pistol-focused Ladies Event led by female instructors and safety officers.
