β Local Business Spotlight: Salazar Scoops

Keeping Our Communities Clean, One Yard at a Time
For over three years, Salazar Scoops has been a reliable partner in keeping Utahβs residential and commercial spaces clean, healthy, and safe. Founded by Anthony Salazar in December 2020, this pooper scooper service offers expert pet waste removal for homes, apartment complexes, HOAs, and even dog parks. Whether you're a pet owner looking to keep your yard tidy or a property manager maintaining a clean community space, Salazar Scoops has you covered!
From Humble Beginnings to Helping Communities Thrive
Anthony Salazar's story is one of dedication and resilience. Inspired by his parents' hard work after immigrating from Colombia, Anthony learned the value of every job, no matter how small, and always approached his work with pride. After becoming a father at 16, Anthony's focus shifted to building a better future for his family. He pursued higher education, earning a Masterβs degree in Information Technology, and worked as a Product Support Manager in cybersecurity. However, when the pandemic hit, he knew it was time for a new direction. Seeing a growing need among dog owners to manage pet waste, Anthony founded Salazar Scoops, and it quickly became a thriving business. Today, his mission is clear: to create cleaner, healthier spaces for both people and pets.
What Makes Salazar Scoops Special?
Salazar Scoops isnβt just about scooping waste; itβs about making a positive impact on the community. Anthony and his team approach each job with empathy and without judgment, ensuring that every customer feels respected. Their Premium Odor Control Spray is an added bonus, tackling unpleasant smells and bacteria, making sure your yard is not only clean but safe for your family and pets.
Beyond their professional services, Salazar Scoops takes pride in giving back. From partnering with local animal shelters to offering resources for dog owners, the company goes above and beyond to support Utahβs pet-loving community. Anthony even authored a book for property managers, providing expert advice on managing pet waste, further proving his dedication to keeping Utahβs rental communities clean and welcoming.
Get Involved and Stay Informed

Residents Alert Police After Suspicious Seafood Sales in North Salt Lake
Residents in the Foxboro Community of North Salt Lake are warning each other about suspicious door-to-door salespeople offering seafood and steak. The sellers were seen targeting homes with open garage doors and avoided ringing doorbells, raising concerns about potential theft or scams. Police have been notified, and the community is urged to remain cautious and report any unusual behavior.

Age is Just a Number: Utah Seniors Cross Skydiving Off Their Bucket List
Two Clearfield, Utah assisted living residents, Connie Burton (82) and Thel Noyes (75), fulfilled their dream of skydiving, thanks to their center's adventure club. Both embraced the experience, showing itβs never too late to try something new. Despite some nerves, they enjoyed breathtaking views and the thrill of free-falling with tandem instructors. Their inspiring adventure emphasizes living life fully, as Burton encouraged, "Don't hold back. Just go for it!"

π Viewmont Vikings Fight Hard but Fall to Undefeated Roy
In a thrilling Friday night football showdown, Roy High remained undefeated with a 42-28 victory over Viewmont. Viewmont fought hard, keeping the game competitive with impressive offensive plays. Despite their efforts, Roy's strong performance, particularly in the second half, proved too much for the Vikings to overcome. This game marked another high-scoring contest in Viewmont's season, with both teams showing grit and determination. While Viewmont took the loss, the teamβs spirit and drive were evident throughout the game.
