Bountiful Boulevard Skeleton Display Brings Halloween Cheer to the Neighborhood

A creative family on Bountiful Boulevard has been spreading Halloween cheer with a fun skeleton display that changes daily. Neighbors love it, sharing their excitement on social media, saying it brightens their day. Becky and Andy Browning, the couple behind the display, are thrilled to bring joy to the community and love hearing how much their decorations mean to everyone. While the exact address isn’t shared, it’s sure to be a fun adventure for your family to hunt for the display while driving along Bountiful Boulevard—adding a little extra thrill to your Halloween season!

Family Fun and Costumes Galore at North Salt Lake's Spooktacular Event

The City of North Salt Lake is hosting its annual "Trot N' Treat Spooktacular" event this Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. The morning promises fun for the whole family, with a wide range of activities including a free 5K race, which requires prior registration. Attendees are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and bring along friends, family, and neighbors for a festive day filled with treats, games, music, scary stories, and photo opportunities. The city's Parks & Arts Committee has been hard at work planning the event, which will also feature prizes and much more to get everyone into the Halloween spirit.

The Food Storage Depot in Utah has launched a 5-Day Preparedness Challenge to help people learn essential emergency survival skills, led by entrepreneur Marcello Surjopolos. The program addresses the increasing demand for emergency preparedness driven by rising food costs and concerns over potential shortages. Participants will receive a free emergency kit checklist and learn how to effectively manage food, water, and sanitation storage.

🏐 Volleyball Powerhouses: Bountiful, Woods Cross Hold Strong in 5A Rankings

Bountiful High and Woods Cross remain top contenders in Utah's 5A volleyball standings. Bountiful, ranked first, continued its undefeated run in Region 5 with a decisive win over Roy, improving to 21-4 overall. Woods Cross, ranked third, also secured a sweep against Box Elder, maintaining a 21-4 record. Viewmont, meanwhile, struggled in their match against Bonneville, and Farmington triumphed over Weber in a five-set match on Senior Night. Davis, despite a strong effort, remains winless in Region 1 after a tight loss to Fremont.

Fall Clothing Drive

October 21 to 24 and October 28 to 29, The North Salt Lake Youth City Council (NSLYCC) is hosting a Fall Clothing Drive to help those in need as colder weather approaches. Residents can drop off gently used or new winter clothing at City Hall, 10 East Center St., North Salt Lake. Items such as coats, scarves, gloves, and general clothing for all ages are welcome. Join the youth council in supporting the community by donating essential winter items to keep families warm this season.
