🚛 Semi Rollover Snarls Legacy Parkway

A semi-truck rolled onto its side on southbound Legacy Parkway near West Bountiful earlier this week, blocking both lanes and causing major commuter delays. Traffic backed up as far as Glovers Lane in Farmington, and UDOT temporarily closed southbound traffic at Parrish Lane while directing drivers toward I-15.

The crash directly affected the South Davis morning commute, with delays topping 20 minutes for drivers traveling through Centerville, West Bountiful and Farmington. 👉 Read More

🎒 Back-to-School Prep Includes Emergency Plans

Davis County Health Department is reminding families that back-to-school prep should include more than pencils and folders. Parents are encouraged to talk with children about what to do during an emergency and review kid-friendly preparedness tips from Ready.gov.

A simple family emergency plan can help our kids feel more prepared if something unexpected happens at school or at home.

🏈 Woods Cross and Viewmont Ready for Region 6

Region 6 could be one of the most competitive football regions in the state this season—and two local teams will be right in the middle of it.

Woods Cross enters the year after sharing last season’s region title with Brighton. The Wildcats will look to remain among the region’s top contenders as teams including Olympus and Bountiful try to close the gap.

Viewmont could also take a step forward after a rebuilding season. With nine returning starters on both offense and defense, the Vikings bring considerably more experience into the new year.

The Region 6 season should give local football fans plenty to follow.
