🐶 Highway 89 Puppy Rescue in NSL
The Quick Summary: Three stray dogs were rescued after being spotted running across Highway 89 near 550 North in North Salt Lake. A local resident and several good Samaritans helped safely catch the dogs before North Salt Lake animal control arrived. The dogs were not chipped or wearing collars, but rescuers said they were scared and friendly once safely secured. If these dogs belong to your family or you recognize them, check with North Salt Lake animal control for more information.
Why It Matters: Loose animals near busy roads create serious safety risks for both drivers and pets, and this quick community response likely prevented injuries on a heavily traveled stretch of Highway 89. 👉 See Post

🏛️ Bountiful Council Approves Projects, Shares Community Updates
The Bountiful City Council’s April 28 meeting covered everything from local service projects to future city planning. Leaders shared updates on the Youth Council selection process, a successful community blood drive that collected 41 pints, and a recent visit from a Ukrainian delegation inspired by Bountiful’s Veterans Park. The council also approved several infrastructure contracts, updates to development codes, and new appointments to the Power Commission.
Why It Matters: These decisions help shape future development, city services, and community programs that directly impact Bountiful residents.
Special thanks to Tyler Nelson and the Bountiful Forum for the detailed meeting recap. Readers can check out the full breakdown and agenda details in the forum post. 👉 Read More

🎵 Bountiful Music Heading to Kaysville
After years of serving musicians in Bountiful, locally owned Bountiful Music announced it will relocate to a new storefront in Kaysville this June. Owner Tom Clark said the new shop will open June 1 at 150 N. Main Street, Suite A in Kaysville — just behind Taco Time — with the same staff, service, and selection longtime customers know and love.
Why It Matters: While it’s tough to see another longtime business leave Bountiful, it’s good to see a local shop staying in Davis County and continuing to serve the community.

🚨 Scam Texts Target Utah Drivers
Police agencies across Utah are warning residents about fake texts claiming they owe money for unpaid traffic violations. The messages may threaten license suspension or court action and include links or QR codes asking for payment or personal information.
Why It Matters: South Davis residents should delete these texts and call local law enforcement directly if they’re unsure whether a ticket or court notice is real.

🏐 Bountiful Boys Volleyball Heads Into State Ranked No. 2
Bountiful High School’s boys volleyball team captured the Region title last Tuesday and is heading into the 5A State Playoffs ranked No. 2 in the state. The playoffs begin this weekend and continue through May 7 as the Redhawks look to make a deep postseason run.
Why It Matters: It’s a huge accomplishment for Bountiful athletics and a chance for the community to rally behind one of the top boys volleyball teams in Utah.
🥎 Bountiful Softball Sweeps Skyline
Bountiful High School’s softball teams picked up big wins over Skyline on Tuesday night. Varsity battled through a marathon three-hour game to earn a 21-11 victory, while the JV squad dominated with a 13-0 shutout win.
Why It Matters: The strong performances keep momentum rolling for Bountiful softball as both teams continue a successful season heading toward postseason play.
