When it comes to caring for your family, waiting weeks to see a doctor just isn’t ideal—and Dr. David Anderson gets that. Fresh Local Sweet Corn Arrives Early at Bangerter’s Stand and Farmers Markets

Chas W. Bangerter & Son is delivering a sweet surprise this season, as their fresh corn crop is ready earlier than usual. The family-owned farm has announced the early arrival of sweet corn, available in limited quantities starting this weekend across multiple locations in northern Utah.

Shoppers can find the freshly harvested corn at the Bangerter stand in Bountiful as well as at the Salt Lake City and Ogden farmers markets. With the Fourth of July just around the corner, the early harvest offers a prime opportunity to stock up for backyard barbecues and holiday gatherings.

In addition to weekend hours, the Bountiful stand will now be open on weekdays to meet growing demand.

Stand and Market Hours:

  • Monday & Wednesday: Bountiful Stand, 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM

  • Thursday: Bountiful Farmers Market, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Saturday:

    • Bountiful Stand, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    • Salt Lake City Farmers Market, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

    • Ogden Farmers Market, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: Bountiful Stand is located at 1304 N 400 E, Bountiful, UT.

Supplies are expected to move quickly due to the unusual timing of this early crop, so customers are encouraged to visit early and share the news with fellow corn lovers.

Local Talent Lights Up Bountiful’s Music in the Park

A lively evening of local talent took center stage during Bountiful City’s Music in the Park celebration, thanks to a spirited community turnout and the efforts of organizers and volunteers. The highlight of the event was Bountiful’s Got Talent, a showcase that brought a wide range of performances to the stage and gave residents a chance to cheer on friends and neighbors.

The competition featured a strong lineup of acts, making for a fun and entertaining evening for attendees of all ages. After much applause and deliberation, the top honors went to:

  • 1st Place: Nick Hallisey

  • 2nd Place: Stella & Scarlett Thomas

  • 3rd Place: Maddie Drollinger

  • Honorable Mention: Hallie Barker

The city expressed gratitude to all the performers who brought their talents to the stage and to the dedicated team of volunteers who helped organize the event.

The Music in the Park series continues to be a cherished summer tradition in Bountiful, combining community connection with local creativity.

Semi Trucks Torched in West Salt Lake City Fire; No Injuries Reported

A fast-moving fire erupted Friday afternoon on Salt Lake City’s west side, engulfing multiple semi trucks and trailers in thick black smoke and intense flames. The blaze broke out around 3 p.m. near 2115 West Indiana Circle, prompting a swift response from local fire crews.

Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control quickly, preventing further damage and limiting the fire’s spread. Officials described the firefighting efforts as both aggressive and effective, allowing crews to contain the incident within a short time frame.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Investigators from the Salt Lake City Fire Department are now working to determine what sparked the fire.
