Woof Gang Bountiful Opens Its Doors

After more than 40 years as a management accountant and raising three children, Renee Reeves has finally figured out what she wants to be when she grows up.

She wants to spend her days with dogs. 🐶💛

That dream becomes reality this week with the opening of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Bountiful, a new pet grooming and specialty retail shop at 555 South 200 West, Suite B, in Bountiful.

Renee discovered Woof Gang about two years ago and has been working toward opening her own franchise ever since.

“I love dogs and I want to spend as much time around them as possible.”

And Woof Gang is designed for people who feel much the same way about their furry family members.

🐕 More Than a Grooming Salon

Woof Gang Bountiful combines personalized grooming services with a boutique filled with wholesome treats, quality pet food, toys, accessories and health-focused products.

Renee says the goal is to create a place where pets are treated like the family members they are.

The team is focused on providing a safe, comfortable and caring grooming experience, along with friendly customer service and products chosen with pets’ health and happiness in mind.

Dog parents can bring their pups in for professional grooming, then browse specialty treats and goodies for a little extra spoiling on the way home.

And cat families aren't left out — Woof Gang Bountiful also has a groomer who is qualified and experienced in grooming cats. 🐱

💛 Becoming Part of the Community

For Renee, opening Woof Gang isn't just about starting a new business. She wants the shop to become an active part of the local pet-loving community.

Plans include participating in community events through sponsorships and volunteering, along with partnering with local veterinarians, shelters and other pet-care organizations.

Renee hopes those partnerships will eventually include donating products and services and supporting local pet adoption efforts.

🎉 Grand Opening — August 20

The community is invited to celebrate the official opening of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Bountiful on Thursday, August 20.

✂️ Mayor Bradshaw will participate in a ribbon cutting at noon.

It’s a great chance to meet Renee and the Woof Gang team, check out the new shop, browse treats and pet products, and learn more about their grooming services.

🚪 Bountiful Police Confirm Arrest After Door-to-Door Encounter

A Bountiful resident says her daughter encountered a man behaving suspiciously at her home near Saint Olaf School on Thursday, Aug. 13. The resident reported that the man tried the doorknob before knocking, claimed to be selling magazines and made an inappropriate comment at the door. Bountiful Police have since confirmed the incident was reported, officers located the man and an arrest was made.

The incident is a reminder for local families to talk with children and teens about not opening the door for unknown visitors and contacting police when someone’s behavior raises safety concerns.

🚙 Stolen Bountiful Truck Recovered

A 2023 Honda Ridgeline reported stolen from a driveway near Rocket Park in Bountiful has been recovered, according to information confirmed with Bountiful Police. The owner initially alerted neighbors on social media, asking them to watch for the distinctive white truck after it disappeared overnight despite both sets of keys remaining in the owner’s possession.

The recovery is welcome news for the neighborhood and a reminder for residents to promptly report stolen vehicles and share identifying details with police.

📸 Davis County Approves License-Plate-Reader Data Sharing Agreement

Davis County commissioners voted 2–1 to approve an agreement allowing participating law-enforcement agencies to share automatic license-plate-reader data. Officials say the technology can help with criminal investigations, missing-person cases, outstanding warrants and stolen vehicles, while Commissioner John Crofts raised concerns about privacy and how broadly the data may be used.

The agreement could expand how local agencies use shared vehicle-location data, while keeping questions about privacy and access in the spotlight for Davis County residents.
