🏛️ Bountiful High Senior Represents Utah at Boys Nation

Bountiful High senior John Alley Jr. was selected as one of only two students to represent Utah at the American Legion Boys Nation in Washington, D.C. After earning the opportunity through Utah Boys State, he joined 100 students from across the country for a week of mock Senate sessions, leadership training, and meetings with national leaders. During the program, Alley was elected Secretary of the Senate, one of the organization's top leadership positions. 👉 Read More

🕊️ Bountiful Community Mourns Local Artist Killed in Idaho Shooting

Dale Schultz, a 66-year-old Salt Lake City resident and longtime member of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Bountiful, was one of three people killed in Saturday's mass shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho. Schultz was known for creating the bronze relief of St. Olaf displayed outside the church, and parish leaders remembered him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and talented artist. His wife, Reinette Schultz, was seriously injured in the attack.

While the tragedy happened in Idaho, it has deeply affected the South Davis community, where Schultz's artwork and decades of service leave a lasting legacy. 👉 Read More

Summer sidewalks and asphalt can get much hotter than the air temperature. On an 85° day, pavement can easily reach temperatures hot enough to burn your dog's paw pads in just seconds.

Before heading out, try the 7-second test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for seven seconds. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for your pup.

Does your child love games and technology? In TaliTech’s upcoming Machine Learning Games with Scratch class, students will create their own interactive games while learning the basics of coding and artificial intelligence in a fun, hands-on environment.

Designed for students in grades 4–6, the class is taught in a small-group setting right here in Bountiful by software engineer and educator Natalia Soto.
