Water Outage Planned in Bountiful January 23 for Infrastructure Repairs

Residents near 6 East 1500 South in Bountiful should prepare for a planned water service interruption scheduled for Friday, January 23, 2026. The outage will take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to allow crews to replace a fire hydrant in the area.

Homes impacted by the temporary shutoff should have already received a door hanger with additional details. City officials are encouraging affected residents to store enough water ahead of time for drinking, cooking, and daily household needs during the disruption.

Those with questions or concerns are urged to contact the Bountiful City Water Department directly at (801) 298-6180. City officials thank the community for their understanding and cooperation during this necessary maintenance.

Utah’s Slackwater Ranked No. 9 on Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat

Slackwater, a Utah-based restaurant known for its artisan pizzas and extensive craft beer selection, has earned national recognition by ranking No. 9 on Yelp’s 2026 Top 100 Places to Eat list. It’s the only Utah eatery to make the list this year.

With locations in Salt Lake City, Sandy, Ogden, Herriman, and Provo, Slackwater impressed reviewers with its 300-variety beer menu and creative pizzas. Yelp praised the restaurant’s fun, pop culture-inspired atmosphere and flavorful dishes, helping it stand out among top-rated spots across the country.

The list is based on Yelp user reviews, combining both ratings and volume to spotlight the most loved dining destinations in the U.S.

🏀 Local Girls Basketball Teams Battle in Tight Region Matchups

Local High School girls basketball teams faced off in intense regional contests, with close finishes and standout performances highlighting the night.

Farmington’s Comeback Falls Short

Farmington’s late rally wasn’t enough in a 49-43 Region 1 loss to Syracuse. A dominant 19-6 third quarter by the Titans built a cushion that held off Farmington's final push. Both teams had leading scorers with 14 points.

Bountiful Pulls Away from Alta

Bountiful secured a 55-43 Region 6 win over Alta, using an 18-9 third-quarter run to take control. Balanced scoring and timely 3-pointers powered the victory, while Alta stayed in it behind a 16-point effort from its top scorer.

Viewmont Edged by Skyline in One-Point Game

Viewmont fell just short in a 42-41 thriller against Skyline. A strong second quarter gave Skyline a narrow halftime lead, and despite Viewmont’s push in the third, the visitors held on. Both teams leaned on sharpshooting to stay competitive.

Woods Cross Falls Late to Olympus

Woods Cross dropped a 49-42 Region 6 game to Olympus after a fourth-quarter push came up short. A 22-point effort led the way for Olympus, while Woods Cross stayed close with solid scoring but couldn’t close the gap in the final minutes.

Wellness Starts on the Inside

True wellness isn’t something you chase—it’s something you nurture. When your mind, body, and soul are in alignment, healing happens naturally and life begins to flow with more ease.

 Wellness Tip:
Today, choose one small act of inner nourishment.
That might look like slowing your breath, speaking kindly to yourself, drinking more water, or giving yourself permission to rest.

When you take care of what’s within, it reflects in every part of your life.
You deserve to feel well—inside and out. 🤍
