🎄 Christmas Sweater Time at Spanky’s!
They’ve gone all-in on the ugly sweaters and whipping up some seriously tasty sandwiches to match the holiday spirit. When school’s out this week, swing by and treat yourself to a Spanky’s sandwich—it’s the kind of holiday tradition we fully support. 🥪✨

Woods Cross Mobile Pantry Sets 2026 Schedule, Resumes January 15
The Bountiful Community Group has announced the 2026 schedule for the Woods Cross Mobile Pantry, with services set to resume after the holidays. The first pantry of the new year will take place on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
The mobile pantry, which provides essential food support to local families, wrapped up its final distribution of 2025 last week. Organizers thanked the community for a successful year and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve residents throughout Woods Cross and the surrounding area.
With the new schedule in place, the pantry will continue to provide monthly food assistance, helping to meet ongoing needs in the community. Volunteers and staff are already preparing for the upcoming year of service.
As the holiday season winds down, organizers are wishing everyone a joyful winter and look forward to welcoming residents back in January.

Bountiful Seeks New Councilmember as Mayoral Change Approaches
With Councilmember Kate Bradshaw set to become Bountiful’s next mayor, the city is accepting applications to fill her soon-to-be-vacant council seat. Residents interested in serving on the City Council must apply in person at City Hall by Monday, December 29, 2025.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, registered voters, and have lived in Bountiful for at least a year. Those with felony convictions are ineligible unless their rights have been restored.
The new councilmember will be appointed during a public meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Bountiful City Hall. Full details are available through official city channels.

Warm December Limits Snow in Park City, But Holiday Spirit Pushes On
Park City is experiencing an unusually warm December, resulting in limited snowfall and reduced ski terrain. Despite the conditions, visitors are enjoying alternative activities and mild weather. The resort is offering unique holiday attractions, such as snow cat exhibits and avalanche dog meet-and-greets. Officials are relying on Epic Pass revenue to offset slower visitation. Concerns about long-term climate trends and regional water use are growing among locals and visitors alike.

🏀 Vikings Fall Just Short Against Alexander
Boys Basketball: Viewmont came up just short in a 58-53 loss to Alexander High School (Texas) at the KSA Events Pre-Holiday Tournament.
The Vikings were outscored 18-9 in the second quarter, which created a gap they spent the rest of the game trying to close. They rallied late, showing grit and determination, but couldn't quite complete the comeback.
Carson Tovey led the Vikings with 18 points, while Tyson Bromley added 10, including a pair of key 3-pointers. Despite the loss, Viewmont showed promise and resilience in a competitive tournament matchup.
