Woods Cross Officer Earns July Honors for Outstanding Service

Officer Smith has been named Employee of the Month by the Woods Cross Police Department for July, recognized for his outstanding work since completing field training. He has significantly outperformed departmental averages in citizen contacts and report writing, marking him as a standout contributor early in his law enforcement career.

Teen Airlifted After Tractor Overturns at Farmington Construction Site

A 19-year-old male was seriously injured when the tractor he was operating rolled over at a Farmington construction site on July 18. He was unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle before being rescued by fire crews. A Life Flight helicopter transported him to the hospital. His condition remains unknown.

New Utah Museum Warps Reality and Delights the Senses

A new kind of museum experience is now open in Salt Lake City, offering visitors the chance to step into a world where perception and reality collide. The Museum of Illusions, located at The Gateway, officially opened its doors to the public on Friday, July 18, marking its debut as Utah’s first attraction of its kind.

Bountiful Cheer Team Kicks Off Clothing Drive for Fundraising Effort

The Bountiful Cheer Team is rallying community support through a clothing drive fundraiser, offering an easy way for residents to donate and make a difference. Team members are collecting gently used clothing and household textiles, with all donations going to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah.

The drive not only helps fund mentorship programs across the state but also benefits the cheer team by contributing to their fundraising efforts for uniforms, travel, and competition expenses. Residents who wish to donate can simply send a direct message to the team’s Instagram page to schedule a clothing pickup, making it a convenient way to contribute from home.

This local effort combines community spirit, youth mentorship, and support for student athletics — all through the simple act of clearing out your closet.

♻️ Crayons for a Cause – Help Kids in Hospitals! 🖍️

Have old crayons lying around? Give them new life! Hansen Rae in Farmington is collecting used crayons of any size or color to donate to The Crayon Initiative, where they’ll be melted down and remade into special triangle-shaped crayons—perfect for hospital trays because they don’t roll away!

💛 These crayons will be donated to children in hospitals across the country.
