Bountiful PD Asks for Assistance Identifying Two Theft Suspects
The Bountiful Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals involved in separate theft investigations.
In the first case, detectives are investigating a series of residential burglaries at the Legacy House Assisted Living Center. The suspect is believed to have entered private rooms within the facility and stolen personal belongings from elderly residents. Surveillance footage of the individual has been released as part of the ongoing investigation.
In a separate incident, police are also looking to identify a man connected to a retail theft case at a local Walgreens. Authorities say the individual took items from the store without paying and left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Both cases are active, and investigators are seeking any information that could lead to identifying either suspect. Community members are encouraged to contact Detective Sanborn at 801-298-6000 with tips or leads.

Community Invited to Easygoing Gailey Trail Hike Near Kaysville
Farmington Parks & Recreation is inviting community members to lace up their hiking boots and join in for a scenic morning hike this Thursday at 8 a.m. The group will tackle the Gailey Trail, a gentle 2.1-mile out-and-back path located near Kaysville. With its manageable distance and mild terrain, the trail is ideal for all skill levels and typically takes around 45 minutes to complete.
Participants will meet at the Farmington Gym before heading to the trailhead together. This outing follows last week’s successful hike through the Kaysville East Mountain Wilderness Park Trail, where locals enjoyed beautiful vistas and a shared sense of adventure.
The department encourages everyone to come out and take part in this free, community-friendly event that promotes both physical activity and neighborhood connection.

Experts Urge Caution After Woman Killed in RV Fire
A fatal RV fire in West Valley City has drawn attention to the critical need for training and maintenance as summer travel begins. A 46-year-old woman was killed when the burning RV she was in rolled down a hill and landed on her after the driver jumped out. Safety experts stress that RV owners should undergo proper training and perform regular maintenance to prevent such tragedies. Programs offered by the National RV Training Center aim to teach essential skills for safe RV operation. While RV travel offers convenience and community, professionals emphasize the importance of preparation to ensure safety on the road.
