Kaysville Home Struck by Truck in Police Chase, Suspects Hospitalized
In Kaysville, Utah, a truck crashed into a home early Monday morning after trying to escape police. The incident occurred following a police response to a suspicious activity report. The truck, which was found to be stolen, was fleeing from police without headlights or license plates when it collided with the house. The homeowners were startled awake by the crash, but thankfully, no one in the home was injured. Two men in the truck were taken to the hospital in stable condition. The event also ties back to a reported vehicle burglary in the area.

Today, February 7th, is National Girls & Women in Sports Day
Come Celebrate with Kaysville City Parks and Recreation
Get ready to lace up your sneakers and celebrate the power of girls and women in sports because today, Wednesday, February 7th, marks National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD)! Kaysville City Parks and Recreation is thrilled to invite everyone to join in the festivities with a special free clinic and an exciting opportunity to show your support.
National Girls & Women in Sports Day is not just another day on the calendar; it's a vibrant movement that we celebrate annually, honoring the remarkable achievements of girls and women in sports. It's a day where we recognize the strides made in the realm of sports equality and empowerment, and it serves as a reminder of the endless possibilities sports can offer to every girl and woman.
This year, Kaysville City Parks and Recreation is taking the celebration up a notch with a free clinic in the evening. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out, come and join a fun-filled session where you can learn new skills, make friends, and most importantly, have a blast!
But that's not all β we're also calling on everyone to show their support for Girls & Women in Sports by donning their favorite jerseys to work, school, or anywhere else you go. Snap a picture and share it on social media, tagging #kaysvilleparksandrec, and you'll be entered into a prize drawing! It's a fantastic way to spread awareness and showcase our solidarity with the incredible girls and women who continue to inspire us on and off the field.
National Girls & Women in Sports Day is more than just a celebration; it's a movement that continues to Lead Her Forward by recognizing the transformative power of sports. It's about breaking barriers, shattering stereotypes, and empowering girls and women to reach for the stars.
So mark your calendars, gather your jerseys, and on February 7th as we come together to celebrate the unstoppable spirit of girls and women in sports. Let's show the world that when we support each other, there's no limit to what we can achieve!

Aging Pipes Cause Water Woes in Bountiful: Multiple Leaks Leave Residents Dry
Bountiful, Utah, recently faced an unusual wave of water leaks due to aging infrastructure, causing significant service disruptions. The city's water department worked tirelessly to manage the situation, which was exacerbated by the old ductile iron pipes, installed in the 1970s and now failing. The largest leak left residents on Canyon Estates Drive without water for more than a day. Repairs involved extensive efforts, including pipe replacement, as the community grappled with the challenges of maintaining its aging water system. This incident brought to light the critical need for infrastructure upgrades and the importance of ensuring reliable water service.
