โ๏ธ Janetโs Sunshine Cafe Fighting to Stay Open
North Salt Lake favorite Janetโs Sunshine Cafe says it needs $35,364 by Aug. 31 to cover building rent or the restaurant could close permanently. A GoFundMe organized by the cafe has been launched to help keep the doors open.
Janet Barmore, a Bountiful native, opened the 37-seat cafe in 2005, building a loyal following around scratch-made breakfasts, lunches, and a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere. The fundraiser says steps have also been taken to help prevent the financial situation from happening again.
After more than 20 years in North Salt Lake, the cafeโs possible closure would mean losing a longtime local gathering spot and small business. ๐ GoFundMe Link
โ Bountiful Greek Cafe Opens Today
Bountiful Greek Cafe is celebrating its opening day today, Monday, Aug. 24, at 1025 S. 500 W. in Bountiful. The new coffee and soda shop will be open 7 AMโ2 PM, Monday through Friday, serving coffee, dirty sodas, and other drinks.
It gives local residents a new spot for a morning coffee or midday drink run.

Woods Cross stayed unbeaten with a 26-21 win over West Field, thanks to Sam Bahrโs 5-yard touchdown run with just 1:10 left in the fourth quarter. The Wildcats jumped out to a 20-0 first-half lead before holding off a late West Field comeback.
The win pushes Woods Cross to 2-0 and gives the Wildcats early-season momentum heading into their next matchup.

โญ๏ธ Weโre excited to introduce a new weekly feature from Joanna Rendi of Bountiful Art Barn! Each week, Joanna will share a little inspiration to help us slow down, tap into our creativity, try something new, and remember that creating is supposed to be fun.
๐จ Spark Your Creativity and Give Your Brain a Break!
We spend so much of the day staring at screens, answering messages, checking notifications and moving from one thing to the next.
Creating something with your hands gives your brain a completely different job.
Pick up a paintbrush, choose a color and simply see where it goes. You donโt have to be โgood at artโ for creativity to help you slow down and enjoy the moment.
โจ Try This: Set your phone aside for 30 minutes this week and make something โ paint, doodle, color or create just for fun.
๐จ Create With Us: Bountiful Art Barn is bringing people together through paint nights, creative classes and special group gatherings. Grab a friend, plan a date night, or gather your favorite people and come create something together.
๐จ Joannaโs next Paint & Sip Night is September 12th at Bountiful Art Barn. $35/person - Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot now by Venmo @Joanna-Rendi
