๐Ÿšฒ Bountiful Police Crack Down on Unsafe E-Riding

Bountiful Police say officers are seeing more unsafe and illegal electric vehicle use as spring activity picks up. Reported issues include park property damage, underage riders on electric motorcycles, missing helmets for riders under 21, traffic violations, and multiple crashes. Police say enforcement may include warnings, citations, and impounds.

Why It Matters: This could affect park access, neighborhood safety, and how strictly e-bike and e-motorcycle rules are enforced around town.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Trash Concerns Raised at Palmquist Park

A North Salt Lake resident flagged growing trash issues at Palmquist Park, noting litter like cigarette butts and dog waste despite nearby garbage cans. The resident reported personally picking up trash during a walk and urged others to take responsibility. The post is gaining attention as a reminder to โ€œpack out what you pack in.โ€

Why It Matters: Cleaner parks mean safer, more enjoyable spaces for families, pets, and the whole NSL community.

๐Ÿš” Farmington Officer Cleared in Fatal Shooting

A Farmington police officer has been found legally justified in the fatal shooting of a man who was reportedly beating and threatening his wife. Investigators determined the officer acted appropriately given the immediate danger at the scene. The incident followed a domestic violence call where the suspect was armed and actively assaulting the victim.

Why It Matters: This case highlights how quickly domestic violence situations can escalateโ€”and the role of local officers in protecting victims under extreme circumstances. ๐Ÿ‘‰ read more

โšพ Farmington Falls to Box Elder in High-Scoring Game

Box Elder powered past Farmington 14-4 in a nonregion matchup, highlighted by Maddox Earnestโ€™s two-run home run. The Bees jumped ahead early and added big innings in the second and fourth to pull away. Farmington showed some fight with runs in the second and third, but five defensive errors made it tough to keep up.

Why It Matters: Early-season games like this help Farmington identify what to tighten up before region play begins.

Spring Into Safer Adventures With Your Dog โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿถ

Spring in Bountiful means more walks, trails, and time outside โ€” but itโ€™s also a great time for a quick reset to keep your dog safe and ready for adventure.

๐Ÿ’ง Donโ€™t Forget Hydration

As activity increases, hydration matters more than you think.
Watch for:
โ€ข Moist gums (not dry or sticky)
โ€ข Steady energy levels
โ€ข Normal panting for activity

Easy boosts:
Add goat milk or bone broth to meals and bring water on every outing.

๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ Leash Up for Safety

Spring brings more wildlife, dogs, and distractions. Even well-trained dogs can make quick decisions.
A leash helps give your dog freedom โ€” safely.

๐Ÿพ Recall = Real Freedom

A strong recall (coming when called) can:
โ€ข Prevent dangerous situations
โ€ข Avoid unwanted interactions
โ€ข Build trust and confidence

Itโ€™s one of the most important skills your dog can learn.

๐Ÿ› How Often Should You Bathe Your Dog?

At Scenthound Bountiful, we believe bathing works best as part of a routine hygiene schedule โ€” not just when a dog gets dirty. For many dogs, a monthly bath helps remove dirt, allergens, and loose fur while keeping skin and coats healthy.

Regular care also includes ear cleaning, nail trimming, and checking overall coat condition. When hygiene becomes routine, dogs stay more comfortable year-round.
