Understanding Closing Costs:
"Learn about closing costs. Both buyers and sellers have fees to pay at closing. Knowing what these costs are helps you prepare, and a good agent can explain them to you, whether you're buying or selling."

Utah's 98-Year-Old Ski Pioneer Proves Age is Just a Number in Skiing

98-year-old Junior Bounous, a skiing legend from Utah, continues to astonish with his youthful vigor on the slopes. A self-taught skier, he began his journey in his family's orchard and rose to become a significant figure in skiing, shaping the Snowbird Ski Resort's landscape. Despite personal challenges, including the loss of his wife, Bounous's passion for skiing remains undiminished, driven by a philosophy of relentless perseverance. His life is a testament to the power of dedication and an unwavering love for the sport.

Stellar Spectacle Tonight: Geminid Meteor Shower Hits Peak Brilliance Under Darkened Skies

Tonight marks the peak intensity of the breathtaking Geminid meteor shower, a celestial spectacle that promises to light up the sky with up to 150 meteors per hour. This year's event is particularly special, as it coincides with a New Moon, ensuring darker skies for an enhanced viewing experience. The best viewing time is after midnight tonight through to dawn tomorrow offering a rare opportunity to witness one of the most stunning astronomical events of the year, with the meteors seeming to radiate from the Gemini constellation.

New Layton Utah Temple to Open Doors for Public Tours in April 2024

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the dates for the dedication and open house of the Layton Utah Temple. The temple's dedication is scheduled for June 16, 2024, with Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles presiding over two sessions. These sessions will be broadcast live to congregations within the temple's district. In the lead-up to the dedication, the temple will be open for public tours from April 19 to June 1, 2024.

The plan for the Layton temple was initially announced by President Russell M. Nelson in April 2018, alongside six other temples. During his talk, President Nelson emphasized the importance of fidelity to covenants and ordinances made in temples. He also encouraged members to prioritize temple attendance. Construction of the Layton temple commenced on May 23, 2020. This temple is one of 28 in Utah, including those announced, under construction, or already operating. The announcement coincides with the closing of the open house for the Orem Utah Temple and the recent rededication of the St. George Utah Temple after significant renovations

The judge labeled the sentence as merciful, given the heinous nature of the crimes. Bailey's actions left a deep and lasting impact on the victims' families, who spoke of their loss and pain in court.
