Snow Surge in Utah: Blessing for Ski Resorts, Caution for Avalanche Risks ⚠️

Utah recently received a major snowfall boost, significantly improving ski resort conditions and the state's snowpack. Snowbird and Alta Ski Area reported substantial snow accumulations, contributing to a sharp rise in the snowpack from below-average levels to 113% of normal. The heavy snowfall raised avalanche dangers, but also enhanced water resources, doubling the snow water equivalent statewide. This improvement positively affected Utah's reservoirs, but authorities still stress the need for water conservation and preparedness for various winter scenarios.

☠️ Several Hospitalized in Carbon Monoxide Incident at American Prep Academy

A carbon monoxide leak at American Preparatory Academy's daycare in Draper, caused by an industrial-sized power washing truck, resulted in over a dozen people, including children, falling sick. The truck's exhaust entered the daycare through an open door. All hospitalized individuals have been released, and the incident has raised awareness about the importance of functional carbon monoxide detectors in schools and daycares.

Mark your calendars. December 16th at 6:00-7:30. Santa will be there handing out treats to everyone who comes by. He will be available for pictures free of charge. And he will stop by randomly until Christmas, and lights will be on every night 5:30-10:00.
