Power Outage Sparks Visible Flare-Up at Woods Cross Refinery

A flare-up at the Woods Cross refinery occurred on Monday morning following a power outage caused by a fire at a nearby substation. Over 8,000 residents and businesses in Davis County, including the refinery, were affected by the outage. As part of safety protocols, the refinery activated its flaring system to burn off excess gases and depressurize equipment. The flares, visible from a distance, are a normal precaution during such events to prevent dangerous buildups within the facility.

Farmington City invites residents and visitors to experience Curtains, a lively dinner theater production filled with mystery and music. Set in 1959, this comedic whodunnit musical will have audiences guessing as they follow the investigation into the untimely death of a theater’s leading actress. The performance features music by the same acclaimed songwriting team behind Cabaret and Chicago, ensuring a night of memorable tunes and intrigue.

The event will take place over two weekends, with showings on October 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12, starting at 7:00 pm each night. Tickets are available now, so don't miss the chance to enjoy a thrilling evening of dinner and entertainment.

Clearfield Woman Missing for a Year: Family Still Hopeful

A year after Tina Jones disappeared in Clearfield, Utah, her family and friends continue to search for answers. Jones, who struggled with homelessness and mental health issues, was last seen in August 2023 on surveillance footage leaving a man's apartment and walking near the Clearfield Library. Despite ongoing police investigations, no new leads have emerged. Her daughter, Madison Lewis, recently honored her missing mother at her wedding, hoping to raise awareness. Family and friends are distributing flyers and raising funds to keep the search alive.

🏑 Utah Hockey Club Shakes Off Early Blunder to Win 5-3 Over Blues

TextThe Utah Hockey Club had a memorable night in their first preseason game, overcoming an early self-inflicted own goal to beat the St. Louis Blues 5-3. After conceding a goal into their own empty net, Utah bounced back with contributions from Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther, with Cooley scoring a decisive penalty shot late in the game. Michael Carcone scored two goals, including an empty-netter to secure the win. This victory highlighted the chemistry of Utah's young stars as they prepare for their first season.
