The City of North Salt Lake is hosting an educational event tonight (Wednesday, September 25), in collaboration with Davis Behavioral Health. The 90-minute class aims to empower attendees with practical skills to handle challenging behaviors in children. Whether you are a parent or someone who works closely with kids in the community, this session is designed to build confidence and provide effective tools to navigate these situations. With only a few spots left, interested individuals are encouraged to register quickly through Davis Behavioral Health’s website. Don’t miss this opportunity to strengthen your approach to supporting the children in your life.

Community Initiative Aims to Help Meadowbrook Elementary Students with Winter Boot Drive

In Bountiful, a heartwarming effort is underway to ensure students at Meadowbrook Elementary stay warm this winter. Local community member Todd Weiler has taken the lead in organizing a drive to collect snow boots for the school’s fifth and sixth graders. During a recent visit to the school, Weiler learned that many students are in need of proper winter footwear, particularly as the colder months approach.

The sizes most needed range from children's sizes 4, 5, and 6, to men's sizes 8, 9, and 10, as some of the older students require larger sizes. Weiler is encouraging fellow residents to contribute either by donating new or gently used boots. Those willing to help can either drop off boots directly to him or arrange for a pick-up. Additionally, Weiler is accepting monetary donations through Venmo for those who prefer to support the cause in that way.

The effort is a reflection of Bountiful’s strong community spirit, with residents often coming together to support local schools and children in need. Weiler has provided his contact information for anyone interested in donating, underscoring the community’s willingness to step up and make a difference as winter approaches. 🎥 Utah Teen’s Movie Night with Friends Becomes a TikTok Sensation

A viral TikTok video shared by Kimberly Dowdell shows her 13-year-old son, Jack, who has Down syndrome, joyfully waiting to be picked up by friends for a movie outing. These friends, peer tutors from South Jordan Middle School, invited Jack, highlighting a beautiful moment of inclusivity. The video resonated deeply, garnering over a million likes. Dowdell expressed her gratitude for the kindness shown to her son, and she hopes the story will inspire other families, showing that their children also have great potential.

Thrilling Victory for Utah Hockey in First Game at Delta Center

The Utah Hockey Club made a thrilling debut at the Delta Center, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in overtime. The team energized the crowd with two first-period goals and fights that ignited fan enthusiasm. Clayton Keller's game-winning goal in overtime capped a memorable night, leaving both players and fans excited for the upcoming season. The atmosphere and performance were praised by head coach Andre Tourigny, as the team aims to build on the momentum for the official season opener in October.
