Spike in Wrong-Way Driving Raises Alarm in Davis County

A couple narrowly avoided a head-on crash with a wrong-way driver in Centerville, Utah, sparking renewed concern among residents about the growing number of such incidents. Witnesses say the driver entered the freeway via an exit ramp, with police already responding. Community members shared similar close calls and pointed to poor road design, lack of deterrents, and distracted or impaired driving as contributing factors. Calls for tire rippers, better signage, and lighting are growing as residents push for safer roads.

Bountiful Music Owner Clears Up Rumors About Store Closure

Amid growing speculation on social media, the owner of Bountiful Music has clarified that the store is not closing. A recent Facebook Marketplace listing for the shop’s retail space sparked confusion, but owner Tom Clark explained that the post relates to ongoing lease negotiations.

The store’s lease is up for renewal in the spring, and the landlord is seeking a rent increase. While Bountiful Music may not be able to support the higher cost, Clark said the store will remain open — either by renewing the lease or relocating to another location in the Bountiful area.

He assured the community that business continues as usual and promised to keep everyone informed about future updates.

Bountiful Man Arrested After Mother Critically Injured in Stabbing

A man in Bountiful was arrested after police say he stabbed his mother several times during an argument. She was critically injured and hospitalized following emergency surgery. The suspect faces attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.
