Handcrafted with Heart—Right Here at Home

Meet Your New Favorite Soapmakers

There’s something truly comforting about a good bar of soap—especially when it’s made by hand, with love, from ingredients you can actually pronounce. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Kaigor Soaps, a small family-run business based right here in our community.

A Hobby That Turned Into a Passion

Founded by husband-and-wife duo Patricia and her husband (with inspiration from their two energetic sons, Kaio and Igor—yes, that’s where the name comes from!), Kaigor Soaps began as a weekend hobby. With Patricia’s background as a biologist and her husband’s work as an aircraft mechanic, their shared curiosity and hands-on mindset made soapmaking the perfect passion project.

Soaps Made with Purpose

What started as a way to create gentler soaps for Patricia’s dry, sensitive skin and her husband’s grease-worn hands quickly grew into something more. They researched, experimented, and perfected a line of beautifully crafted, small-batch soaps made with natural, food-grade oils, nourishing butters, and skin-loving ingredients like goat milk and carrot juice.

A Soap for Everyone

Today, Kaigor Soaps offers something for every skin type and routine, including:

  • Artisan bar soaps and luxury bars with deep hydration and gentle exfoliation

  • Solid shampoo bars for a low-waste shower routine

  • Face bars specially formulated for different ages and skin types

  • Paper soaps—perfect for on-the-go handwashing anytime, anywhere

Why Kaigor Soaps Stands Out

Kaigor Soaps is built on the belief that skincare should be clean, simple, and honest. You won’t find harsh chemicals, synthetic dyes, or ingredients you can’t pronounce. Just high-quality, effective formulas made with transparency and love. And because they’re a family business, they offer personal touches you’ll love—like custom orders, friendly service, and free local delivery between North Salt Lake and Kaysville!

Visitors Warned of Parking Shortages at Rec Center This Week

Visitors to the South Davis Recreation Center should prepare for limited parking availability through August 9. With several events taking place both at the center and in nearby areas, parking spaces are expected to be in high demand. Guests are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternative transportation or allow extra time for arrival.

Last Call for Summerfest Volunteers Ahead of August 8–9 Celebration

With Summerfest just around the corner, organizers are putting out a final call for volunteers to help bring this popular community event to life on August 8 and 9. Support is still needed in several areas, including the Art Yard, guest services, and refreshment stations. Community members are encouraged to step in and contribute their time to ensure the festival runs smoothly. Those interested in volunteering can reach out directly via email to sign up.

West Nile Virus Mosquito Activity Doubles Across Utah in Just One Week

Utah's mosquito pools testing positive for West Nile virus have more than doubled in one week, rising from 30 to 68 across several counties. No human, bird, or horse cases have been reported yet. Officials urge residents to take precautions such as using repellent, wearing protective clothing, and eliminating standing water to reduce mosquito exposure.

Massage Minute with Chelsea 💆‍♀️✨

Knots? Blame the Backup Muscles 🎯😖

When one muscle isn’t doing its job, others step in—and not always in a good way. Over time, these “helper” muscles get overworked, leading to tight, painful knots. It’s a common cause of shoulder and neck pain. The solution? Targeted massage to release those knots and restore proper movement.
