Elevating Bar Food, One Plate at a Time
What happens when a highly trained chef teams up with a health, wellness, and gardening expert? In the case of The Sidecar Kitchen, the answer is a fresh take on bar food that has people talking.
Located inside Cruzrs Saloon in Holladay, The Sidecar Kitchen was created with a simple goal: serve food that surprises peopleโin the best possible way. While the restaurant is located just outside our typical coverage area, the owners themselves are local Davis County residents, and we always enjoy spotlighting local entrepreneurs who are building something special.
They wanted to bring something different to the local bar scene by offering scratch-made meals that go far beyond the typical pub menu.
๐ More Than Just Bar Food
While many bar kitchens rely on frozen ingredients and bottled sauces, that's not the approach you'll find here.
Everything possible is made fresh, with sauces crafted in-house and a focus on quality ingredients. The team believes food should be more than just something that fills you upโit should be an experience.
"We love making people happy through food," Jenn shared. "We really try to give people a culinary experience, not just something to eat."
That philosophy seems to be working. Despite being open for only four months, customer response has been overwhelmingly positive.
๐ฅ Want a sneak peek? Be sure to check out the food blogger video we've linked below to see some of The Sidecar Kitchen's mouthwatering creations in action.
โค๏ธ Built on Relationships
For Jenn and her team, great food is only part of the equation.
They've made it a priority to build genuine relationships with customers and the staff they work alongside. Their passion for hospitality shines through in every dish they serve, creating an atmosphere where people feel welcomed and appreciated.
It's clear that for The Sidecar Kitchen, food is one of the ways they show love and connect with others.
๐ฅฉ A Few Local Favorites
If you're looking for an excuse to stop by, their weekly specials have already developed a loyal following.
Friday Steak Nights are a customer favorite, featuring a full steak platter for around $28. Many of the ribeyes are sourced locally from the owners' farm, offering a flavorful, well-marbled steak that's hard to beat.
And don't miss Wednesday Wingsday, where guests can sample a variety of house-made sauces that showcase the creativity coming out of the kitchen.
๐ Special Offer for Bountiful Buzz Readers
Jenn wanted to extend a special thank-you to our readers.
Mention "Bountiful Buzz" when you order and receive 20% off your meal.
If you've been looking for an excuse to try their scratch-made menu, consider this your sign.
๐พ The Story Behind the Name
The Sidecar Kitchen's name has a special meaning.
The business is named after Jackson, the owners' rescue dog. Jackson came from an abusive situation and was briefly separated from the family before finding his way back home through the help of local rescue efforts and what Jenn describes as a miracle.
Today, Jackson remains a beloved part of their story and a reminder of second chances, loyalty, and unconditional love.
๐ Stop In and Say Hello
If you're ready to experience bar food with a fresh twist, The Sidecar Kitchen invites you to pull up a chair and see what everyone's talking about.
Whether you're craving a perfectly cooked steak, wings with scratch-made sauces, or simply want to support fellow Davis County locals who are pursuing their dream, this Holladay gem is worth adding to your list.
