100 Years of Reid Rowland: Bountiful Celebrates a Local Legend

Longtime Bountiful resident Reid Rowland is turning 100, and the community is invited to celebrate a life well lived. For more than 70 years, Reid has been a familiar face behind the camera, capturing countless moments at weddings, family gatherings, and local events. His impact has stretched across generations, with his photographs becoming part of many local families’ histories.

To honor this remarkable milestone, his family is hosting an open house birthday celebration, welcoming all who’ve known Reid—whether closely or in passing. Guests are encouraged to share stories, enjoy refreshments, and take part in commemorating a century of memories, kindness, and connection.

If you know Reid and would like to attend, you can DM the family for location and event details via the Facebook post here.

Fire Crews Contain Bountiful Attic Fire with No Injuries Reported

Emergency crews responded swiftly to a residential fire in Bountiful on Monday night, after reports of smoke coming from a home on 2800 South. Arriving just before 9 p.m., firefighters discovered an active attic fire and promptly initiated a coordinated response from both inside the structure and on the roof.

Thanks to the rapid and strategic efforts by teams on the scene, the fire was quickly brought under control, preventing further damage to the home. No injuries were reported among residents, pets, or fire personnel.

Multiple units from the South Davis Metro Fire Service Area participated in the response, including engines, ambulances, a ladder truck, and command staff. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Farmington Family Hosts Clothing Drive for Fiji Service Trip

A Farmington mother and son are collecting clothing donations to support their upcoming humanitarian trip to Fiji with the nonprofit Youthlinc. As part of their service year, they’re each gathering 500 pounds of clothing and textiles to help fund supplies for international projects.

Donations of gently used clothing and household textiles are being accepted through February 25. Items can be dropped off at their West Farmington home, and larger donations can be picked up by request.

This clothing drive not only supports global service but also promotes sustainability by keeping textiles out of landfills.

To learn more about donating and how the donations help, visit: Youthlinc Clothing Drive

Utah Sees Surge in Flu Cases as Health Officials Sound Alarm

Utah is experiencing a significant rise in flu cases, with health officials reporting widespread transmission. Hospitals are seeing more flu-related visits, especially among children and older adults. Residents are being urged to take precautions like staying home when sick and getting vaccinated for individuals choosing to take that preventive step. The early surge may indicate a longer or more intense flu season than usual.

Massage Minute with Chelsea 💆‍♀️

You Don’t Have to Wait Until You’re in Pain 🌿💆‍♀️

It’s easy to put off self-care until something hurts—until the headache won’t go away, the shoulder won’t loosen, or the stress shows up in your jaw. But here’s the thing: massage is most powerful when it’s preventative.

Taking care of your body before it breaks down is what keeps you feeling grounded, mobile, and resilient. You don’t need to be hurting to benefit from massage—you just need to show up.

👐 Whether you’re here for maintenance or deeper work, Kristi and I are here to support you.

Feel better before things get worse—book your session today.
