School’s in Session: Slow Down and Stop for Buses

As Utah kids head back to school today, local officials are gently reminding everyone to be extra cautious on the roads, especially around school buses. The first day of school brings excitement, and it's important that drivers slow down and stay alert. When you see those flashing lights on a bus, remember to stop and wait until the bus driver signals it's safe to go. Let's all do our part to ensure a smooth and safe start to the school year.

As the 2024 high school football season approaches, Bountiful and Davis High are leading local contenders, each returning with formidable teams. Bountiful, following their strong 5A runner-up finish, aims to dominate again. Davis High looks to maintain its status as a Region 1 powerhouse. Meanwhile, other local schools like Woodscross, Viewmont, and Farmington are also poised for competitive seasons, each with a mix of returning talent and fresh prospects. These schools are all gearing up to make a significant impact in their respective regions.

Get ready to kick off the new school year with a bang! 🎉 Join us for the Bountiful High School Tailgate Party on Friday, August 16th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the South parking lot. The BHS PTSA is hosting this fantastic event, offering free food, live music, and games to celebrate our brand-new stadium and the start of a new school year!

VHS VIKES MINI CHEER CAMP
August 28th - 30th, 2024

Event Details:
Join us for the VHS Cheer Annual Mini Cheer Camp! This exciting event is open to kids ages 4-12 and will take place at the VHS Auxiliary Gym. Campers will participate in fun and engaging cheer practices on August 28th and 29th from 5-6 PM. The camp culminates with a thrilling halftime performance at the football game on August 30th!

Every Mini Cheerleader will receive:
- A t-shirt
- A bow
- The opportunity to learn and perform a cheer routine alongside the VHS Varsity Cheerleaders!

When:
- August 28th: Practice from 5-6 PM
- August 29th: Practice from 5-6 PM
- August 30th: Halftime performance at the football game

Where: 
Viewmont High School Auxiliary Gym

Cost: 
$40 per participant (ages 4-12)
