Syracuse and Davis High Graduates Excel at Paralympics with Medals in Track and Field
The Davis School District is proudly celebrating two alumni who have achieved incredible success at the Paralympic Games.
David Blair, a graduate of Davis High School, earned a bronze medal in the Menβs Discus Throw F64 event. His outstanding performance reflects his unwavering dedication and hard work, making him a source of pride for the entire community.
Similarly, Syracuse High School alumnus Hunter Woodhall delivered a stunning performance, winning a gold medal in the 400-meter T62 and a bronze in the Mixed 4 x 100-meter Universal Relay. His skill and determination on the international stage serve as an inspiration to all.
The district applauds both athletes for their remarkable achievements, recognizing their commitment and the inspiration they bring to others.

Get Up Close with Zebras at Hogle Zoo's Interactive Experience
Utahβs Hogle Zoo is offering an exciting opportunity to meet the Hartmannβs mountain zebras up close! This hands-on experience lets visitors feel the unique stripes of these zebras and learn fun facts, like their favorite snacks, all while being guided by a zebra keeper. The activity is perfect for both kids (5+) and adults, with wheelchair accessibility. Visitors are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes and bring a camera for great photos.

π Viewmont and Bountiful Football Teams Stay Perfect After Week Three Showdowns
Viewmont and Bountiful high school football teams remain undefeated after three weeks of play in the 2024 season. Viewmont dominated Taylorsville 49-7, led by quarterback Titan Longson's six touchdown passes. Bountiful secured a close 25-22 victory over Olympus, clinched by a last-second field goal. Meanwhile, Woods Cross narrowly lost to Mountain View, Idaho, and Davis had a commanding 40-14 win over Mountain Ridge. Farmington, still seeking its first win, faces a tough upcoming game against nationally ranked Corner Canyon.

Medicare Tip of the Week: Coordinating Medicare with Other Insurance
If you have both Medicare and another form of insurance, such as employer coverage or Medicaid, understanding which insurance pays first is crucial. Proper coordination of benefits ensures you maximize your coverage and reduce out-of-pocket expenses.
Key Points:
- Which Insurance Pays First? Depending on your situation, Medicare may pay first, or your other insurance might take the lead. For example, if you have employer coverage and are still working, your employerβs plan usually pays first.
- Maximize Coverage: Properly coordinating your benefits helps prevent gaps in coverage and reduces your out-of-pocket costs.
- Understand Your Situation: Each case is different, whether youβre working, retired, or have dual coverage with Medicaid. Make sure you understand how the coordination applies to your specific circumstances.
Stay Informed:
