๐Ÿ’Š Bountiful PD Hosting Drug Take-Back Event

The Bountiful Police Department will host a โ€œCrush the Crisisโ€ drug take-back event on April 25 from 10 AMโ€“2 PM at Smith's Marketplace. Residents can safely dispose of unused or expired medications, and the departmentโ€™s disposal box is also available 24/7 in the police department lobby.

Why It Matters: Safe medication disposal helps prevent accidental misuse and keeps unused drugs out of local homes and waterways.

๐Ÿ Kaysville Family Finds 30,000 Bees Inside Home Wall

A Kaysville homeowner got an unexpected surprise after discovering an estimated 30,000 bees living inside a wall of the home. Beekeepers were called in to safely remove the swarm, which had reportedly been building for months before being discovered.

Why It Matters: As bee swarms become more common in warmer months, experts say residents should call professionals instead of trying to remove hives themselves.

๐ŸŒฑ Backyard Market Pops Up in Layton This Thursday

The Quick Summary: A local resident is hosting a relaxed backyard market in Layton on Thursday, April 24 from 2โ€“6 PM. The event will feature small vendors, handmade goods, and plant starts like lettuce, kale, arugula, and bok choy available for purchase. Organizers say the market is designed to be family-friendly and community-focused.

Why It Matters: While outside the South Davis corridor, this could be a fun nearby option for local families looking to support small makers and pick up spring garden starts. ๐Ÿ‘‰ See Post

๐ŸŒซ๏ธ EPA May Ease Northern Utahโ€™s Ozone Penalties

Federal regulators are proposing to keep northern Utah, including Davis County, in a less severe ozone pollution category after determining much of the pollution comes from sources outside the U.S. and wildfire smoke. State leaders say the change could reduce costly regulations for businesses, while environmental groups argue it could weaken pressure to improve local air quality. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Read More

Why It Matters: The decision could impact future air-quality rules, business regulations, and summertime pollution policies affecting families across Davis County.

๐Ÿฅ Woods Cross Edged in Close Lacrosse Battle

The Woods Cross High School girls lacrosse team fell just short in a tight 9-8 matchup against Alta High School on April 22. Meanwhile, Bountiful High School dropped a road game to Olympus High School, 17-5, with Claire Jensen and Sage Brice each scoring twice for the Redhawks.

Why It Matters: Local spring sports teams are heading into the final stretch of the season with rivalry matchups and playoff positioning on the line.

Stress Doesnโ€™t Just Live in Your Mind โ€”
It Lives in Your Body Too

When life gets busy, stress often shows up physically through tight shoulders, headaches, jaw tension, or an aching back. Over time, that tension can leave your body feeling drained and worn down. Therapeutic massage can help release built-up stress, improve circulation, and give both your body and mind a chance to reset.

Feeling tense lately? Take time for yourself and schedule a massage with Chelsea to help your body relax and recharge.
