What if your favorite memories didn't have to stay buried in your camera roll?
That's the simple idea behind Magnet Pics, a family-owned business based right here in Farmington that's helping people turn their favorite photos into something they can enjoy every single day.
Like many of us, owner Scott Talbot realized his family had thousands of special moments sitting on their phonesโvacations, birthdays, grandkids, pets, and everyday memories that rarely get looked at again. So they created Magnet Pics to give those moments a second life as beautiful, custom photo magnets.
Every magnet is made using your own photos and printed with vibrant colors on durable, high-quality materials built to last. Whether you're decorating your refrigerator with family memories, surprising grandparents with a thoughtful gift, or creating keepsakes from a wedding or family reunion, each order is made just for you.

But Magnet Pics isn't just for families. They also create custom magnets for businesses, schools, photographers, fundraisers, promotional giveaways, events, and bulk orders. Their goal is simple: provide a unique product while delivering the kind of fast, personal service that only a local family business can offer.
Although they're still a young business, Magnet Pics is already becoming a familiar face throughout Davis County. You'll often find them at local festivals, farmers markets, and community events where visitors can upload photos and watch their custom magnets come to life. They're also partnering with local photographers, schools, organizations, and businesses to create memorable products for special events and fundraisers.
Looking ahead, Magnet Pics plans to expand its selection with themed collections, seasonal designs, wedding products, business promotional magnets, and even more opportunities to create personalized keepsakes. If you spot them at a local event, be sure to stop byโyou might just leave with your newest favorite photo displayed somewhere you'll see every day.

๐ฏ Farmington High School Band Turns Setback Into a Standing Ovation
More than 100 members of the Farmington High School Marching Band traveled to Washington, D.C., expecting to perform in a major Fourth of July parade celebrating America's 250th anniversary. When extreme heat forced organizers to cancel the event the night before, the disappointment was overwhelming. But thanks to a last-minute invitation, the band instead marched through a small Capitol Hill neighborhood paradeโbecoming the first marching band that community had ever hosted. What started as a heartbreaking cancellation quickly turned into one of the most memorable moments of the trip, with cheering crowds, grateful residents, and students who proved that resilience can steal the show.
Farmington students marched with resilience and heart, turning an unexpected setback into a performance their communityโand theirsโwon't soon forget.

๐ถ๏ธ Green Chile House Nearing Reopening After Months of Repairs
If you've been wondering when you'll be able to enjoy Green Chile House's famous salsa and New Mexican favorites again, there's good news.
The popular restaurant, located at 386 N. Redwood Road, Suite 107, in North Salt Lake, has been temporarily closed for several months while recovering from significant flood damage. Throughout the process, the owners have shared renovation updates and thanked the community for its patience and support.
According to the restaurant's latest posts, repairs are nearly complete, and they're planning a grand reopening later this month. An exact reopening date has not yet been announced.
The closure has left many loyal customers eagerly awaiting the return of favorites like the homemade salsa, green chile dishes, and smothered burritos. Judging by recent community conversations, the excitement is building.
We'll be watching for an official reopening date and will share it as soon as it's announced.

Hydration Matters More Than You Think
Most people know they should drink more water during the summerโbut did you know hydration can also affect how your muscles feel?
When your body is dehydrated, muscles are more likely to feel tight, fatigued, and prone to cramping. Even mild dehydration can contribute to stiffness and make it harder for your body to recover from exercise, yard work, hiking, or long days in the summer heat.
Here are a few simple ways to keep your muscles happy:
๐ง Drink water consistently throughout the dayโnot just when you feel thirsty.
๐ Eat water-rich foods like watermelon, cucumbers, and berries.
โ๏ธ Increase your water intake after spending time outdoors or exercising.
๐ Pair good hydration with regular massage to help keep muscles loose and improve recovery.
Taking care of your body doesn't have to be complicated. Staying hydrated is one of the easiest ways to help your muscles feel and function their best all summer long.
