Community Unites for 9/11 Day of Service at Farmingtonβs Woodland Park
The Farmington Parks & Recreation department is inviting the community to participate in the 9/11 National Day of Service. This event provides an opportunity for residents to come together and contribute to the betterment of their community. The gathering will take place at Woodland Park on Saturday, September 7th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and assist with various service projects planned for the day. This event is a meaningful way to honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11th by making a positive difference locally. Everyone is welcome to join and help strengthen the community.

Grocery Store Evacuated in Layton Due to Knife Threat
A 38-year-old man was charged for threatening customers at a Layton grocery store with an 8-inch serrated knife on August 15. Police evacuated the Fresh Market after the man swung the knife and damaged products. An officer, familiar with mental health issues, managed to convince him to drop the weapon, leading to his arrest without further incident. The man now faces charges of aggravated assault, criminal trespass, and property damage.
