Families are invited to make a splash at the annual Easter Egg Dive happening this Saturday at the South Davis Recreation Center.

Kids ages 6 to 12 will start the fun at 9:00 a.m., followed by the 1 to 5-year-olds at 9:45 a.m. A final all-ages dive will take place at 10:30 a.m.

With candy, games, and plenty of springtime cheer, this is a family-friendly celebration you won't want to miss. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online at southdavisrecreation.com.

Cyclist Safety in Focus as UDOT Reviews I-15 Crossings

UDOT is working with regional partners to improve cyclist and pedestrian crossings over I-15 in the Salt Lake Valley. Over 60 unsafe or missing crossings have been identified from North Salt Lake to Lehi. The initiative prioritizes safety, equity, and better access to public transit. Public input is being gathered, and recommendations will be released in 2025.

Utah Woman Warns Others After Escaping Potential Trap Near City Hall

A Draper woman is sounding the alarm after a chilling encounter along Fort Street that she believes was a deliberate attempt to stop her car and potentially cause harm.

The incident took place in the early morning hours of late February, as the 20-year-old was returning home from a friend's house. While driving along the quiet, dimly lit stretch near City Hall, she came upon several garbage cans placed in the middle of the lane—an unusual and unsettling sight on the otherwise empty road.

Initially thinking it might be a prank, she began navigating around the obstacles. But her concern quickly escalated when she noticed a man standing further down the road. As she approached, the figure suddenly lunged toward her car, swinging what appeared to be a machete.

Acting on instinct, she ducked, accelerated, and swerved around the man before calling 911. Though visibly shaken, she managed to escape the situation unharmed.

Police later praised the woman’s alertness and quick reaction, warning others to be vigilant in similar situations, especially during late-night hours on isolated roads. Authorities have not yet made any arrests and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Bridger’s family is celebrating the incredible impact of the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP)—a nonprofit early intervention program that has helped their son thrive. NUAP serves local children ages 3–5 with autism and is funded entirely by parents and community support.

To give back, the family is hosting a Golf Tournament Fundraiser this fall at Ogden Golf & Country Club to benefit NUAP. They’re looking for sponsors, raffle donations, and helping hands.
