Bountiful Doulas: Postpartum Support Specialists for New Parents

Bountiful Doulas, led by McKayla Broadhurst and Tiara Monson, focus exclusively on postpartum support for new parents. Recognizing the high rates of postpartum depression and fatigue among mothers, their team offers services like newborn care, lactation education, and nighttime assistance to help parents adjust during the "fourth trimester." Inspired by their own challenging postpartum experiences, Broadhurst and Monson aim to provide the support they once lacked. Their services extend to fathers, addressing their unique challenges and anxieties. Additionally, Bountiful Doulas runs a donation fund to support low-income families with postpartum needs.

Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Bountiful Library Incident

The Bountiful City Police Department is looking for a suspect in a sexual battery case at the Bountiful Public Library. The suspect is described as a short male with black hair, tan skin, and a slightly heavier build. He was wearing dark blue Dickie pants and a dark blue shirt with a name tag. He fled in a white Toyota Camry with front passenger side damage and a dashboard hula girl. Contact Detective Young at 801-298-6000 with any information.

Quick-Thinking Deputy Rescues Baby from Car Thief

A man stole a car with a baby inside in South Salt Lake and was arrested after handing the child to an off-duty sheriff's deputy. The car was tracked using license plate technology. The suspect, Dimitri Saliba, drove to the sheriff's office and unknowingly handed the baby to a deputy. The deputy, holding the baby, drew his gun and arrested Saliba with the help of nearby officers. The baby was safely reunited with her mother.

Event Details:
Join us for the VHS Cheer Annual Mini Cheer Camp! This exciting event is open to kids ages 4-12 and will take place at the VHS Auxiliary Gym. Campers will participate in fun and engaging cheer practices on August 28th and 29th from 5-6 PM. The camp culminates with a thrilling halftime performance at the football game on August 30th!

Every Mini Cheerleader will receive:
- A t-shirt
- A bow
- The opportunity to learn and perform a cheer routine alongside the VHS Varsity Cheerleaders!

When:
- August 28th: Practice from 5-6 PM
- August 29th: Practice from 5-6 PM
- August 30th: Halftime performance at the football game

Where: 
Viewmont High School Auxiliary Gym

Cost: 
$40 per participant (ages 4-12)
