🚒 Early-Morning Commercial Fire in West Centerville
South Davis Metro Fire crews responded to a commercial structure fire in the industrial area of West Centerville at 3:23 a.m. Flames were visible from the roof upon arrival, and crews quickly forced entry and brought the fire under control. The incident was upgraded to a second alarm, with mutual aid from Farmington, Kaysville, Layton, and Salt Lake City.
The building sustained significant damage. The cause and dollar loss are under investigation. One firefighter was treated as a precaution after a fall and has since been released.

Bountiful Ice Ribbon Opens for the Season — Skate the “Lazy River of Ice”
Winter fun is officially underway in Bountiful! The Bountiful Ice Ribbon opened on January 19 in conjunction with the MLK Holiday, welcoming skaters of all ages to enjoy this unique outdoor skating experience.
Often described as a “lazy river of ice,” the Ice Ribbon offers a winding skating path rather than a traditional rink, creating a fun and scenic way to enjoy the winter season in the heart of the community. It’s a perfect outing for families, friends, and anyone looking to get outside and enjoy some fresh air.
General public pricing is $8 for adults and $6 for children, making it an affordable and festive winter activity. Hosted by the South Davis Recreation Center, the Ice Ribbon adds a magical seasonal touch to downtown Bountiful.
Grab your skates and come enjoy one of Bountiful’s favorite winter traditions! ⛸️❄️

Girls Basketball Midseason Report: Dominance, Defense, and Turnarounds
Bountiful High girls basketball continues its dominant run with blowout wins over Viewmont and Brighton, pushing its region win streak to 53 games. Woods Cross has picked up momentum with two key victories, while Viewmont struggles to find consistency despite competitive play. Davis remains undefeated in Region 6 action, fueled by strong defense and balanced scoring. Farmington, meanwhile, looks to rebound from back-to-back losses as region play picks up.

Why Wellness Clinics Matter for Your Dog’s
Long-Term Health
Wellness clinics are all about preventative care and education — helping pet parents stay ahead of potential health concerns while building strong foundations for lifelong well-being.
Here’s why they’re such a valuable resource:
• Prevent problems before they grow
Routine vaccines, screenings, and guidance help catch small issues early, reducing the risk of bigger health concerns later.
• A whole-dog approach
Wellness clinics look at the full picture — nutrition, behavior, lifestyle, and physical health — not just one symptom at a time.
• Low-stress, convenient care
Walk-in clinics mean less pressure, shorter visits, and a more relaxed experience for both pets and busy families.
• Education that empowers owners
Pet parents leave with practical, easy-to-understand tips they can use at home to support health, nutrition, and training.
Preventative care isn’t just about today — it’s about helping your dog thrive for years to come. 🐶💛
