Bountiful Museum Seeks Volunteers to Support Tours and Evening Hours

The Bountiful Museum & Learning Center, located at 305 North Main in Bountiful, is reaching out to the community in search of dedicated volunteers to assist with museum tours. With a limited number of staff members currently managing operations, the museum hopes to open its doors at least one evening each weekโ€”but needs additional support to make it happen.

Volunteers are only asked to contribute 2 to 3 hours per week. No prior knowledge of history is necessary, making this an accessible opportunity for anyone interested in giving back to the community. It's also a chance to engage with local residents and families in a meaningful and enjoyable setting.

Those interested can call the museum at 801-296-2060 to leave a message or stop by during regular hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

Firefighters Contain Rooftop Blaze at West Bountiful Restaurant

A commercial structure fire broke out around noon today at a strip mall in West Bountiful, prompting a swift response from South Davis Metro Fire crews. On arrival, firefighters found flames actively burning on the roof of a local restaurant. Emergency teams quickly deployed ladders and hoses, bringing the fire under control before it could spread further.

Initial assessments suggest the fire may have started due to a malfunctioning mechanical unit located above the restaurant. However, a full investigation is still underway to determine the exact cause. As a precaution, several nearby businesses were briefly evacuated during the operation.

Thanks to the prompt and coordinated response, there were no injuries reported among civilians or emergency personnel.

Bountiful Philharmonia Opens Season with Thrilling Masterworks Concert

The Bountiful Philharmonia opens its 2025-26 season with a dynamic Masterworks Concert featuring Bernsteinโ€™s lively Candide Overture, Khachaturianโ€™s emotive Spartacus Suite No. 2, and Beethovenโ€™s spirited Symphony No. 7. The performance offers a rich blend of passion, rhythm, and uplifting themes meant to connect and inspire the local community.

๐Ÿงธ Be the Light with Lilyโ€™s Birthday Stuffed Animal Drive

Last year, Lily celebrated her birthday by organizing a stuffed animal drive for Intermountain Healthโ€™s Cancer Centerโ€”collecting 140 stuffed animals to comfort kids whose parents are battling cancer. ๐Ÿ’›

This year, sheโ€™s back with an even bigger goal: 200 stuffed animals by September 30th! Each donation, whether new or gently loved (small to medium-sized), helps bring hope and comfort to kids and teens during an unimaginably hard time.

There are lots of ways to get involved:

  • Drop donations off at Lilyโ€™s house

  • Order online and ship directly to her

  • Meet up for a hand-off

  • Or contribute funds so she can purchase animals on your behalf

As Lily shared, โ€œLearn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someoneโ€™s life. Be the light that helps others see.โ€ ๐ŸŒŸ
