Police Remind Bountiful Residents of Fireworks-Free Zones

As summer festivities ramp up, the Bountiful City Police Department is reminding residents to celebrate responsibly by adhering to local fireworks restrictions. Due to elevated fire danger, fireworks are strictly banned in specific high-risk zones throughout the city.

The prohibited areas include all locations east of Orchard Drive and east of 400 East. These zones are considered especially vulnerable to wildfires due to their terrain and vegetation density.

Authorities urge the public to avoid dialing 911 for fireworks-related reports unless there’s an emergency. Instead, residents should use the department’s non-emergency number, 801-298-6000, to report any violations.

Officials are stressing community cooperation to prevent avoidable fires and ensure a safe, enjoyable summer season for all.

Early Morning Cleanup Blitz Set for July 4 at Eaglewood Golf Course

The City of North Salt Lake is inviting community members to take part in a special early morning cleanup effort following its beloved annual Liberty Fest celebration. Each year, the festivities leave behind traces that need a swift cleanup to restore Eaglewood Golf Course to top condition in time for the first tee-off at 6 a.m. on
July 4.

This year, volunteers are encouraged to gather at the back of the Eaglewood clubhouse at 5 a.m. for a one-hour cleanup blitz. Gloves and bags will be provided, and participants will receive quick assignments to help tackle the task efficiently.

It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the golf course at sunrise, all while contributing to the community’s post-celebration efforts. Everyone is welcome to lend a hand and help keep this North Salt Lake tradition going strong.

F-35A Jets to Thunder Across Utah Skies This Fourth of July

Utah residents can look to the skies this Independence Day as F-35A Lightning II fighter jets from Hill Air Force Base soar over cities statewide in a long-standing holiday tradition.

The 419th Fighter Wing, a reserve unit made up of “Citizen Airmen” who serve part-time while working and living in local communities, will conduct the flyover between 8:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. MDT on July 4. The route begins in West Point and ends in Park City, passing over more than a dozen cities.

The formation is led by a team of highly experienced pilots, with over 8,000 combined flight hours. Behind the scenes, active duty personnel from the 388th Fighter Wing and 75th Air Base Wing manage maintenance and logistics.

This display honors both national pride and the deep connection between Hill Air Force Base and Utah communities. Times may shift due to weather or operational needs; real-time updates will be shared on the 419th Fighter Wing’s Facebook page.
