Transform Your Health This Fall with South Davis’s New Fitness Challenge
As the leaves begin to change, the South Davis Recreation Center is inviting the community to embrace a healthier lifestyle through its new Fall Fitness Challenge. Designed to motivate and support participants in achieving their wellness goals, the challenge includes a comprehensive package of health-focused resources and the chance to win exciting prizes.
Participants will receive two STYKU 3D body scans, offering an in-depth look at physical progress over time. The challenge also features structured weekly workout sessions and personalized nutrition targets to help individuals stay on track. This community-based initiative aims to foster both personal and collective transformation as residents work toward improved fitness in a supportive environment.
The program is set to begin soon, and early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
Interested individuals can sign up through the South Davis Recreation Center’s official registration portal.

Mayor Applauds Bountiful Youth for State Program Participation
Several Bountiful students recently returned from an impactful experience at Boys and Girls State, a program sponsored by the American Legion that provides high school students with immersive, hands-on learning about the workings of government. Participants had the opportunity to simulate civic processes, hold mock elections, and draft legislation, all while developing leadership skills and building lasting friendships.
In addition to valuable real-world insights, many students earned scholarships through their participation, further enhancing the long-term impact of the program.
Mayor Kendalyn Harris expressed pride in the students who took part and extended her gratitude to Julie and Eric Hattabaugh for their instrumental role in supporting the students throughout the program.

FBI Releases New Images as Manhunt for Charlie Kirk’s Killer Intensifies
Authorities have released new images of the suspect in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. The FBI and Utah officials are pursuing leads as the manhunt enters its second day. The suspect, seen in clearer surveillance photos, is wearing a distinctive black shirt, Converse sneakers, and a backpack. Investigators have gathered physical evidence and recovered the rifle used in the killing. A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Governor Spencer Cox said the state will pursue the death penalty, and President Trump has expressed confidence in the FBI’s progress.

⚽️ Bountiful Girls Soccer Competing at Top of Region 6
In their first season in Region 6, Bountiful’s girls soccer team is right back in the title race. After dominating Region 5 in previous years, the Redhawks are 4-1 in league play, trailing only Olympus.
The team’s offense has been on fire, scoring 18 goals in five region games. Belle Sorensen leads the way with 12 goals this season and 68 in her high school career. Myka Page has added six goals and a team-high five assists.
Bountiful recently shut out Alta 4-0 and will look for revenge against Olympus — the only team to beat them in region play so far — on Sept. 16.
Viewmont is 2-3 in Region 6, with a recent shootout win over Skyline, while Woods Cross continues to battle through a tough schedule, narrowly falling 2-1 to Olympus in their latest match.

Massage Minute with Chelsea 💆♀️✨

Why Shoulder Blade Movement = Neck Relief 🦴💆♀️
If your shoulder blades aren’t moving well, your neck and upper back will compensate—and that’s a recipe for pain. Targeted massage around the scapula (shoulder blade) helps restore healthy movement, releasing tension that’s been building up from posture, stress, or overuse.
👐 Let’s free up that movement—book your massage and feel the difference!
