🚨Davis County opens new emergency center in Farmington
Davis County has opened its first dedicated emergency operations center at 851 W. Clark Lane in Farmington after nearly two years of construction. The 17,300-square-foot facility is built to improve countywide disaster response, with tech that helps emergency crews coordinate with all 15 Davis County cities and quickly track damage during major incidents. A public open house is planned for April 18.

🐾 NSL unveils new dog park honoring K-9 heroes
North Salt Lake and Woods Cross are teaming up to celebrate the grand opening of the new Flash & Cairo Dog Park on May 11 at 6 PM, just north of Legacy Park. The park is named after two beloved police K-9s—Flash from Woods Cross and Cairo from NSL—recognized for their loyal service to both communities. The event will feature a “leash cutting” ceremony and a fun, dog-friendly evening for residents.
Why It Matters: This park isn’t just a new spot for pets—it’s a shared community space that honors the real-life K-9 officers who helped keep North Salt Lake and Woods Cross safe. 👉 More details
🎢 Lagoon’s New Nutcracker Is Up and Running
Lagoon is now open for weekend operations in Farmington, and the park’s new Nutcracker ride officially launched for opening weekend on March 28–29, 2026. Lagoon says the new thrill ride hits speeds up to 68 mph, rises as high as 150 feet, and requires riders to be at least 48 inches tall. 👉 Read more

⚾ Farmington Baseball Explodes for 13 Runs in Home Win
Farmington High powered past Northridge 13–6 on March 27, fueled by a huge 7-run fifth inning. The Phoenix racked up 9 hits, with strong contributions from Kellen Parlett (2 doubles) and multiple players driving in runs. Britton Graham earned the win on the mound with 6 strikeouts.
Why It Matters: It’s a momentum-building win for Farmington as they look to turn their season around and compete in region play.
