If you’ve been craving smoky, slow-cooked BBQ served with a side of aloha spirit, keep your eyes out for Coach’s Smokin’ BBQ — a local food truck bringing big flavor and good vibes wherever they go! 🍖🤙

Leading the way behind the scenes is Kiana Vallette, the new Event Coordinator & Social Media Manager, who’s helping bring even more community events, catering opportunities, and island-style hospitality to the local scene.

Coach’s Smokin’ BBQ specializes in:
🔥 Slow-smoked Texas-style BBQ
🌴 Hawaiian-inspired hospitality
🎉 Delicious food served with a fun, welcoming atmosphere

Whether it’s a corporate event, party, festival, graduation, wedding, or special gathering, Coach’s Smokin’ BBQ is now booking catering and event dates throughout the area.

One thing that makes them unique? They’re always on the move! As a food truck, Coach’s Smokin’ BBQ brings the flavor directly to the community — serving up mouthwatering BBQ at events and locations all around town.

Kiana encourages locals to follow along on social media to stay updated on upcoming locations, specials, events, and plenty of food photos that may leave you suddenly craving brisket. 😋🍍

🚫 Vandalism Forcing Restroom Closures at Bountiful Parks

Bountiful City officials say repeated vandalism and graffiti at local parks are causing temporary restroom closures while crews complete repairs and cleanup. In a joint message with Bountiful City PD, the city asked residents to report suspicious activity and help protect public spaces from further damage. Repair costs and closures affect park access for local families and pull city resources away from other community projects. 👉 See Post

👩‍🍳 Young Chefs Cooking Classes Coming to Bountiful

A local educator with 26 years of elementary teaching experience is launching a summer cooking class series for kids ages 5–12. Classes run Wednesdays from June 10 through July 15 and focus on cooking skills, kitchen safety, teamwork, and healthy eating—all while making fun recipes kids can feel proud of. Spots are limited, with options to attend individual classes or the full six-week series.

This gives South Davis families a fun summer activity that builds real-life skills, confidence, and independence for kids.

🚨 Headline: Police Searching for Missing Mother and 6-Year-Old Son

Authorities are searching for 34-year-old Mersadee Ann Jacobs and her 6-year-old son, Matteo, after they reportedly left their St. George home on May 11. Police say Jacobs recently relapsed on methamphetamine and may be experiencing hallucinations, while Matteo — described as a high-functioning autistic child who requires medication — may be in danger. Investigators believe they could be traveling in a 2020 black Hyundai Elantra with Utah plate T750UB.

While the case is centered in southern Utah, statewide alerts like this are important for residents across Utah who may spot the vehicle or individuals involved.

🥍 Tough Night for Local Highschool Girls Lacrosse Teams

The 5A girls lacrosse playoffs brought several close matchups for local teams this week. Woods Cross pulled off a narrow 10-9 upset over Box Elder to advance and will now face top-seeded Park City. Meanwhile, Bountiful fell heartbreakingly to Hillcrest 15-14 after a game-winning goal with just three seconds left, ending the Redhawks’ season. Viewmont also saw its playoff run end after a tough first-round loss to Payson.

🌿Tiny Habits Create Lasting Healing

We often think wellness requires a huge life overhaul… but real transformation usually comes from the small things we do consistently.

A few extra sips of water.
A short walk.
A deeper breath.
Going to bed a little earlier.
Speaking to yourself with more kindness.

✨ Wellness Tip:
Choose one small habit this week that supports your mind or body—and keep it simple enough that you’ll actually do it.

Healing doesn’t happen all at once.
It happens in the tiny moments where you choose yourself again and again. 💜
