Where Every Child is a Hero
Choice Learning Center, a revolutionary approach to education, is transforming the way our children learn, grow, and envision their futures. At the forefront of this educational renaissance is CHOICE Learning Center, a haven where the conventional classroom is reimagined into a vibrant, learner-driven environment, nurturing each child’s journey to become the hero of their own story.
A Unique Approach to Learning
CHOICE Learning Center isn’t just a school; it’s a community where every child, alongside their parents, actively participates in setting learning goals and selecting curricula. This unique approach ensures that learning is not just about acquiring knowledge but is a joyful and meaningful journey tailored to each child’s interests, strengths, and aspirations.
The Hero’s Journey
At CHOICE, education is built around the inspiring concept of the Hero’s Journey. This philosophy emphasizes that everyone has a unique calling and set of gifts. Through personalized quests, mentorship, and challenges, CHOICE empowers children to discover their passions, overcome obstacles, and use their talents to serve others and bring joy to their lives.
Quests Over Tests
Gone are the traditional tests and lectures. Instead, CHOICE introduces quests—engaging four to six-week projects that encapsulate science, entrepreneurship, history, and the arts. These quests encourage children to apply their knowledge practically, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative skills essential for the 21st century.
Socratic Sessions and Guides
Education at CHOICE is interactive and reflective, with Socratic Sessions replacing lectures. These discussions help develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Teachers at CHOICE are referred to as Guides, acting as mentors who encourage independence and resilience, guiding learners to find answers themselves and navigate their learning journey.
Fostering Family and Community Ties
CHOICE places immense value on family and community, believing that education extends beyond the classroom. The center operates on a four-day week model, leaving Fridays for family time, travel, or other learning experiences, thus strengthening family bonds and providing flexibility for real-world learning opportunities.

A Learner-Driven Environment
Freedom and responsibility are central to CHOICE’s philosophy. Children have the autonomy to make educational choices, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability. This learner-driven environment encourages students to pursue their interests at their own pace, ensuring mastery of subjects and building confidence.
Expansion and Opportunities
With an innovative spirit, CHOICE is expanding! The center is thrilled to announce the opening of a new facility on a farm property in Woods Cross, offering 30 new spots for the upcoming year. This expansion reflects CHOICE’s commitment to providing more children with the opportunity to embark on their Hero’s Journey.
An Invitation to Join the Journey
CHOICE Learning Center is more than a school; it’s a community dedicated to empowering the next generation of heroes. With a commitment to personal growth, creativity, and the joy of learning, CHOICE is shaping a future where every child is equipped to pursue their dreams with confidence and courage.

As we spotlight CHOICE Learning Center in our Bountiful Buzz newsletter, we celebrate this beacon of innovative education in our community. For families envisioning a transformative educational journey for their children, CHOICE Learning Center offers a path to discovery, growth, and the realization of one’s potential. Welcome to a place where learning is a grand adventure, and every child is a hero on their unique journey.

Bountiful's No-Tip Bagel Haven Wins Hearts and Stomachs
Cheryl's Bagels in Bountiful, Utah, stands out for its unique no-tipping policy and East Coast-style bagels. The shop, led by Cheryl Mignone and her women-powered team, prioritizes customer relationships over tipping. Patrons, including those from New York, praise the authenticity of the bagels and support the shop's community-focused approach. Mignone's commitment to her craft and her customers shines through her daily efforts, as she contemplates future expansion.

Embrace Nature in North Salt Lake: Arbor Day Tree Planting with Chevron
North Salt Lake City, in partnership with Chevron Salt Lake City Refinery, is set to celebrate Arbor Day on April 27, 2024, by planting trees at the future NSL/WX Dog Park site. The event, which emphasizes community and environmental engagement, will take place at Legacy Park near the splash pad at 9:00 am. The initiative highlights the city's dedication to green practices and urban forestry, contributing to its Tree City USA status. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own shovels and gloves.

Utah Leads the Way in Protecting Homeowners from Squatters
Utah's strong legal protections for property owners effectively deter squatters, contrasting sharply with challenges faced in other states. Being one of the most landlord-friendly states, Utah empowers homeowners with swift eviction processes and discourages unlawful occupancy. This approach keeps squatter issues at bay, providing a sense of security to property owners in the state.
