Centerville Police Honor Fallen Officers in Emotional Procession
The Centerville Police Department took part in a heartfelt procession to escort two fallen officers from the Tremonton-Garland Police Department home. The tribute honored their service and ultimate sacrifice in protecting their community.
As the motorcade traveled along the interstate, community members gathered roadside to pay their respects. While the majority of the event was solemn and respectful, some observers noted concerns about the speed of certain motor units during the procession.
Overall, the day served as a powerful reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face and the deep gratitude felt by the public. Support and prayers poured in from across the region, uniting residents in mourning and remembrance.

What’s Your Pet Trying to Tell You? One Local Business Says It Knows
In Davis County, animal communicator Shelly Sheets offers an unusual service—tuning into the thoughts and feelings of pets. Believing animals communicate telepathically, she provides insight into their emotions, behaviors, and even health concerns.
Sheets works with a range of animals and says her goal is to help owners better understand and connect with their pets. While some remain skeptical, many clients report meaningful results, especially when dealing with unexplained behaviors or grieving a lost companion.
Her services continue to grow in popularity among pet owners seeking alternative ways to care for and bond with their animals.

New School Year Begins with Teacher Retention Wins Across Utah
As the new school year begins, Utah school districts like Canyons and Granite are reporting encouraging progress in retaining teachers. Focused efforts—such as better pay, stronger mentoring, and local teacher training pipelines—are helping reduce vacancies and support long-term staffing.
Canyons District has introduced programs to support new educators and raise salaries, while Granite is investing in “grow-your-own” initiatives that keep aspiring teachers connected to the district. Though shortages persist in specialized subjects, districts are optimistic that continued investment will build a more stable teaching workforce.

Farmington Parks and Rec. Gears Up for Fall Pickleball Mixer League
Pickleball players in Farmington are in for a competitive and social season as the city’s Parks and Recreation Department prepares to launch its fall mixer league. Set to begin registration on September 1, the league promises to bring together players of all skill levels for lively matches and community fun on the courts.
Residents will have the first opportunity to sign up, with registration opening at 8 a.m. Non-residents can secure their spots later that evening, beginning at 10 p.m.
Organizers encourage participants to act quickly—spaces are expected to fill fast. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to try something new, this mixer league offers a great way to stay active and connect with others who share your enthusiasm for the sport.

Massage Minute with Chelsea 💆♀️✨

Fix Your Posture, Feel Better 🪑📱
Hunched over your phone or laptop all day? You’re not alone—but poor posture is a leading cause of upper body tension. Try bringing your shoulder blades gently together and lifting your sternum—it’s a small shift that makes a big difference. Massage helps support better posture by releasing the muscles that are pulling you out of alignment.
✨ Let’s work together on pain-free posture—schedule your massage today!
