Man Tased After Late-Night Scooter Chase with West Bountiful Police

A West Bountiful man was arrested after allegedly fleeing police on a motorized scooter, later being subdued with a taser. Officers say Christopher Allen Madill refused to provide ID during a stop, then led them on a chase that ended in his arrest. Drugs and a knife were found on him, and he reportedly fled due to outstanding warrants.

Woods Cross Theatre Hosts MOD Pizza Fundraiser Today

Woods Cross High School Theatre is holding a fundraiser today at MOD Pizza in Woods Cross. When customers mention the school at checkout, show the flyer, or use code MODGIVES20 for online orders, 20% of their purchase will benefit the theatre program.

The fundraiser runs all day at the 2577 S Wildcat Way W location. Mrs. C will be at the restaurant from 2:45 to 4:30 p.m. to chat with students and families about college planning, local theatre and film, Region Drama events, and auditions for The Pirates of Penzance.

Grab a slice, support student theatre, and connect with the program today.

Bountiful City Bids Farewell to Outgoing Mayor and Council Member

As leadership transitions in Bountiful City, the community is expressing gratitude to two outgoing officials whose terms have come to an end. Mayor Kendalyn Harris and Council Member Cecilee Price-Huish are being recognized for their years of dedicated service, marked by steadfast commitment and a focus on community well-being.

Throughout their tenure, both officials played key roles in guiding city policy, supporting development, and fostering a strong civic environment. Their efforts have left a lasting imprint on Bountiful, contributing to projects and decisions that shaped the city's growth and quality of life.

As they step away from public office, residents and colleagues alike are extending heartfelt thanks, celebrating their leadership and the positive changes brought about under their guidance.

Mammoth Show Flashes but Falter Again in Loss to Devils

The Utah Mammoth fell 4-1 to the New Jersey Devils, extending their all-time losing streak against the Devils to 0-4. Despite a strong performance earlier in the week, Utah again struggled with consistency, giving up four goals before netting a single one late in the game. Rookie Daniil But showed promise with a powerful scoring chance, but overall, Utah couldn’t match the Devils’ balanced offensive attack. The Mammoth remain plagued by uneven performances as they approach the second half of the season.

Why Puppy Socialization Can’t Wait 🐶✨

Those early puppy weeks matter more than many people realize. Puppies go through a critical socialization window between 3–16 weeks, when their brains are especially open to learning what’s safe, normal, and fun in the world.

Positive experiences during this time help puppies:
• Feel confident around new people, dogs, and places
• Adjust to sounds, surfaces, and handling
• Reduce fear, anxiety, and reactivity later in life

Socialization isn’t about overwhelming your puppy — it’s about calm, positive exposure and learning how to feel safe and curious.

📅 Good news: Preppy Paws is starting a new Puppy Class on the 14th, designed specifically to support puppies during this important stage. Spots are limited to ensure a safe, supportive environment, so early enrollment is encouraged.

If you have questions about whether your puppy is a good fit, stop by the store or reach out. We are always happy to help.
